The A-10 ‘Warthog’ warplane’s service has been extended to 2030. I love that aircraft and was disappointed when I read the fleet was to be replaced. The A-10’s replacement is in the works and this gives us another 4 years to make something even more lethal.

There is/was a squad if A10’s in tucson at montham-davis. Saw one on a training flight and the sound of the engines passing by us on the highway at about 500 feet off the deck is something i’ll never forget. If you like that stuff you should check out Pappy Gunn who refitted B-25 medium bombers with a 75mm sherman tank cannons and many 50 cal guns during ww2. It was a predecessor to the A10 i’m told. Guy was also a absolute unit who was trying to save his family from a japanese pow camp.
