Working on a couple logos

Not sure how I will use them.  Maybe I’ll do some google ads to promote the site.  But honestly not sure where the place to buy ads and target them would be.  Lemme know if you do.  See what you think of the logos.  I like em.  They’re a remake of what a poster made for us many years ago and I managed to lose.

I mean, probably, but I would go with some type of football or sport related image like a trophy or something as that is the main focus of the site. Maybe a mashup of the US great seal Eagle (politics) with a football in one talon and basketball in the other, I don’t know.

Well in trying to cut through the clutter of the Internet I’m not trying to come up with a grand Noble logo. I’m kind of trying to catch somebody’s eye and as they look at it, sort of try to capture the instant thought of “what the hell is that?”

These days, “In your face internet” is illustrated by shrieking Karens wearing gas masks and carrying “Free Gaza” signs, but that’s probably not a wise marketing move for a sports-oriented board.

I mean, I can’t exactly write a yellow Paige’s ad with lots of text saying “hey come watch San Clemente and Java are you about whether a lake has real water or fake water in it and whether one of them was a real athlete or not 45 years ago trust me it’s really funny and riveting”

 

see?  So I’m figuring that if someone sees a snarling tiger or panther and sees in your face Internet, the first thought is going to be what the hell is that all about and then when they see something about wild West sports they might think it’s a betting site either way they might click on it just to be curious.

I like the idea of a WW logo, Java – but I think both current versions would confuse many, including Clemson, Auburn and Pitt fans….lol

I didn’t want to pick a warrior like a Trojan.  Or a bear.   And no offense.  Ducks screaming remind me of Donald.    So I felt it captured the intensity of some of our conversations.   Lot better than some red faced u shaven guy yelling with beer drool in inning down the side of his cheek

now that I know grocery stick disapproves I’m pretty sure we are on the right track.  Now I have to figure out how and where to use them. I mean it’s not like I’m changing the color or texture of the board or anything they are just a couple of images

Being serious for a second, I have always thought of this place as a shark infested body of water. A different kind of predator than the felines you chose.

Good thinking, BB!  I like the idea of using sharks – not really a college football mascot found anywhere (other than at Long Island University) – rather than other animals or fierce icons.

Agreed, Shark Tank is too overused.

I think a small image like that doesn’t show up well on phones.  Too conceptual.  Needs to be simple and easy to understand for clods like Fraud who are out there on Google
