Well, that was a disaster….a few thoughts from a resident quack

Didn’t see that one coming for my quacks, but I suppose the signs were there based on the lack of effort and focus displayed in the Boise St game at Autzen.

TEE has already been proclaimed President of the Can Dan Committee and good for him.  Lanning is responsible for this mess, but in my view especially for hiring from within for his OC.

Four glaring issues:

– OL is young and BAD

– OC is young and BAD

– Players (thinking much of the defense and especially the front 4 with the possible exception of Bear) sleepwalking through the first 2 games

– Dante hasn’t shown much improvement from last season

I haven’t seen it said anywhere yet, but the reason for Dan promoting a coach from within as OC was to keep Dante from heading to the NFL.  No way was Dante going to stay at Oregon and have to learn a new offense.

Not sure if anything will change before our meeting with you Trojans in the Coliseum.  Could my ducks turn it around?  Sure.  Will they?  Right now, looks like it will be a slaughter.  Enjoy….lol

That was a tough one LAD. We are getting to the part of the season where pretenders get exposed. It was your turn yesterday. Our turn might be coming soon.

Since your season is pretty well f’ed I suggest you give it another half a$$ effort when you visit the Coliseum. We need the win more than you.

I’d hire you as VP on my Committee, but we wouldn’t see eye to eye.

this year is going to be. 6-6,   I still think the Ducks can beat Portland St at home.  Not by much.  But after that. You got losses at SC, OSU, Michigan, UW.   That’s 5 losses.  The rest are pick-ems.  At best.

and next year is really going to be bad. Ducks losing basically 12 starters.  But that’s probably a good thing since none of them give a sheet.

and Lanning can’t coach   Nor can his staff   I told uncle Phil to pay Mario $20 million a year    He’s staying for that

I call 8-4. Saw some ducks “expert” on youtube throwing much of the blame on Lanning for promoting coordinators from within. Both O and D. Said he did it on O so that Donte wouldn’t have to learn a new system, but he said it was a disgrace not to hire a D coordinator from outside. Especially given that the OC would potentially be learning on the job. Said that the O coordinator was way out of his league and didn’t know what he was doing. That the receivers are not open due to scheming. No adjustments, etc. Made the Cowboys O coordinator last night look good.

That’s a 43 million dollar roster, lots of talent.

No way they go 6-6 and I wouldn’t notch the USC game as an L for you just yet.

909 says 8-4 and that sounds about right to me but prob 9-3
