ParticipantHere are some 2027 HS players dat I have found having good interest in USC. Could not find a QB, only 2 LB’s, 1 OL. Good number of DL & DB’s. Most on this list are Calif players. Got to get a top QB and 3 very good LB’s…
DB, HF Johnson, 5*, 6-0, 190 lbs, Cathedral Catholic, San Diego, Ca,
DB, Duvay Williams, 4+*, 6-2, 175, J.Serra, Gardena, Ca,
DB, Gavin Williams, 4*, 6-0, 190, Damien, Los Angeles, Ca,
DB, Myles Baker, 4*, 6-1, 190, Sierra Canyon, Los Angeles, Ca,
Edge/DE, Zyron Forstall, 5*, 6-3, 250, IMG-Florida, New Orleans, La,
DL, Kasi Currie, 4*, 6-4, 315, Sierra Canyon, LA, Ca,
DL, Jon Ioane, 4*, 6-3, 285, Tustin, Orange County, Ca,
DL, Jerry Williams, 4*, 6-1, 305, Tustin, OC, Ca,
DL, Ali Tuihalamaka, 4*, 6-3, 270, Oaks Christian, Ventura, Ca
DL, Kahlio Vaeto, 4*, 6-4, 290, Cardinal Newman, Santa Rosa, Ca
DL, Miles Schirmer, 3+*, 6-5, 250, Centennial-Corona, Ca. USC must get this outstanding DL. Seen him 4 times in 2 years, he is a force on DL, quick, athletic, strong, Old School Animal. He should make All CIF State. Nah, he is 4* all da way!
WR, Quentine Hale, 5*, 6-3, 175, Cathedral, Los Angeles, the #1 Wr in Calif, very fast, 10.4 100 m
Big WR, Raz Edwards, 4*, 6-6, 210, Grant Union, Sacramento, Ca. Raz is listed as TE, I’ve seen him 2 times, Union use him as a Big Wr. This kid is a physical Wr, very strong hands, catches Everything thrown his way, a RZ target, average speed, about 11.5 100 m. Love how he attacks DB’s, runs solid routes.
WR, Eli Woodard, 3*, 5-11, 180, Chaparral, Temecula, Ca
OL, Lincoln, Mageo, 4*, 6-3, 285, Oceanside, San Diego, Ca
LB, Toa Satele, 4*, 6-3, 215, Mililani, Hawaii
LB, Isaiah Phelps, 3*, 6-0, 205, Pacifica, Oxnard, Ca

ParticipantNice work Bruddah! I have a post coming up on ‘27 recruiting soon too as recruiting starts to develop. It’s going to be a much smaller class, maybe 18-20, so USC is likely to be picky.

Keymasterif both Williams and Longstreet stick around. Then I don’t think they will take a quarterback in 2027 unless it’s a low rated kid who is a project but might have high potential like maiava was
if one of them leaves and it surprises them made recruiting cycle. I think they will go get a transfer who is well thought of maybe who just completed his freshman year. If they both stick around, then I would anticipate they would target the class of 28 for the next big star quarterback
Riley’s history is that he creates roster spacing which allows him to more easily target star players. Star recruits. However, as we know, Riley is not the one necessarily who is putting this roster together at this point

ParticipantAlright, C.LR has a strategy for QB and spacing them. But, I do not agree with his views. I’m from a different school, I feel C.LR should get a top QB every year to protect the QB room from potential injury, surprise transfer, a QB not developing, etc. C.PC, C.Kiffin, C.Sark believed in landing a top QB every year for their QB room, which I strongly believe in… Cheers

KeymasterIn this new era you may be right. But if you spread stuff out it is a lot easier to attract a super top level guy I am sure.
I think they’re still hoping for the Lyons kid. And if not they get a filler and then go big in 2028 when Longstreet or Williams are playing their Sophomore year to bring in a 28 guy to sit for their Junior year behind them.

TEEParticipantAlready washed away the 2026 season? Riley needs to win on grass instead of paper. Well. Maybe he doesn’t. He’s already collected $40 million. Another $60 million to collect.

ParticipantLove your bias TEE. USC just landed the No. 1 recruiting class with money they spread over 35 recruits, the top 17 matching Oregon’s BCR rating for their class. Now, SC will take the same amount of money or more and spread it over the next class that will be a little over half the size of SC’s 2026 class. We coming.

ParticipantButkus, have you seen DL Markus Fakatou play. He is listed as a 4* at 6’7″ and 290 lbs.

ParticipantYep Bruddah GT seen him in action. Shoot Fakatou is an outstanding FB player, he’s Calif #1 DL. Unfortunately, at this time he is a heavy lean to Notre Dame. OLu has big boys, but for some reason USC is not on their list. Heck, GM Bowden and his staff must get in with OLu HS and Inglewood HS as well. The #3 Calif DL, Elijah Harmon, Inglewood HS is all OU, and #7 Calif DL, Myels Smith, Inglewood HS, is a heavy lean to Nebraska, both were not interested in USC. If USC had landed these 3 boys, dam what a DL class dat would have been. Let’s pray dat GM Bowden is able to flip one or two of these guys.
But, the DL players dat I listed interested in USC are very good DL. I think we are gonna get 4 of them, which is great… Cheers
PS. GM Bowden and his R staff are very good recruiters. But, they are no where as good as the C.PC R team of C.Kiffin, C.Sark and C.Orgeron. These 4 coaches put a Big Fence on Calif and were the Best R team at USC. Dang, USC got the very best players not only in Calif but in da nation…
