Not the arrogant chick, but the Poly DB. They also landed RB Jayshon Gibson out of Texas.

BOOM, borderline KABOOM!!! 4* CB JuJu Johnson commits to UCLA over all the big boy programs.
JuJu is the 67th ranked player in the country, UCLA’s 9th 4* commitment and now UCLA’s
class is ranked in the top 10.

Long Beach Poly (Calif.) athlete Juju Johnson just announced his commitment to UCLA and broke down why he chose the Bruins.

It’s fair to say UCLA is on a recruiting roll right now, the kind we haven’t seen from them in years. They’re well on their way to finishing with their first top 25 recruiting class since 2018 and Johnson is a big piece of that.

Johnson is rated a four-star prospect and the No. 67 player nationally in the Rivals Industry Ranking, an equally weighted average that utilizes all three major recruiting services. This despite missing his entire junior season with a lower leg injury.

Prior to the injury, Johnson was a consensus top 50 prospect with the ability to play corner or receiver at the college level. He’s now back to full speed and will be full go for Spring ball at Poly and will play his college football close to home.

“I’m very excited to be a Bruin,” Johnson said. “They have a good thing going right now, there’s a new energy and they’re building something special and I want to be a part of that.”

Johnson has been a frequent visitor to UCLA this off-season and the more times he stepped on campus, the more comfortable he felt.

“I was there for about five or six practices,” Johnson said. “They would hit me up all the time and invite up there and if I didn’t have anything else going on, I would drive up.

“Sometimes I would visit just to hang out, even if practice wasn’t going on. This is home for me but there was a time when I didn’t really think I would be going to school here. UCLA wasn’t a top choice for me but I love the new staff and can’t wait to play for them.”

UCLA DB coach Eddie Whitley was the lead recruiter with Johnson.

Unreal Bruins, last week’s big visit/turn out (59 players) was a Big Success and Big Shaka!  Wow 2 mo top players and now #10 rankings.
At dis rate you guys should end up Top 4 rankings in da final rankings.  Man, HC Chesney must have cooked a Big Luau, all kines of booze, sexy girls, secret cash bags, lol.

PS.  Big mistake by Rivals, LSU #12 with 4 players (BS).  3 weeks ago LSU was ranked #62 = 3 players.  The following week, they mysteriously crept up to #32 with the same 3 players (what da fock).  This week they added one 4* and jumped up to #12 =4 players.  Kiss my O’kole, there’s is no way LSU should be ranked dat high with 4 players (all are 4*).  I’m thinking #26-28 rankings?   Cheers

Butkus, do you remember when Pete was hired and how recruits were drawn to his limitless energy and enthusiasm, which was the
spring board to some great recruiting classes? The same thing is happening with Chesney and this recruiting class; keeping
top rated local kids from leaving the state and plucking some gems from out of state.

Yep Bruddah AtlBruin, Dat’s what I noticed immediately when he came to UCLA, he started R quickly and hitting up all the power FB SS CIF teams.  I said the dude has energy just like C.PC.  Most of all C. Chesney must have a great personality too, because the kids are wanting to play for him.

I immediately read into C. LR his 1st year, knew he was a BS artist, a Helton 2.  Most of all, he was a bad R, how can he not R California hard, wow.  At least, now we had GM Bowden and AD Cohen running things and keeping him in check.  Thank God for GM Bowden.  If C LR FU dis year, I think he is a goner.  We need a coach like C. Chesney; man you guys scored big time.

It’s amazing how a good coach can change things quickly.  I know we’re rivals, but for me I never disliked UCLA.  In fact, I respected UCLA sports, FB, BB, Tennis, Track & Field, Volleyball, Softball and Baseball.  I’m all in for California teams and athletes.  Always were amazed how many world class athletes dat come out from our beautiful state.

It is fun times for you guys, enjoy your amazing haul in top FB players.  Like I said, next Rd is on you, 2nd Rd = RWC, 3rd = Daystalker, and 4th rd = Waldorf, lol…  Cheers

Word is they got 2 more commits, both WR’s and not yet announced at the spring game today and wild rumor of a 3rd (that is from someone I think may have been mistaken, but who knows).
