Travis Hunter update

Folks you may recall that he was sold as a generational player.  Drafted 3 overall as a 2 way Heisman winner.  Receiver.  Corner.

looks like that experiment is over.  Looks like he was failing at both so the jags decided to let him focus on being a decent corner.

reminds me of adoree in a way.  Vaguely.  Meaning I think both were drafted as high as they were because of a secondary skill.  Returning kicks for Jackson and receiving for Hunter.  Early on folks seem to have given up on their secondary talents.

hopefully Hunter has a better career as a corner than AJ, whose claim to fame was “being in the league” for 8-9 years, not necessarily actually doing anything while there

You should ask anyone who would actually talk to you and ask if a guy is in NFL for 8/9 years as mostly a starter does that make him a bust?

Yes. I wrote that.  He went from being a first rounder to “being in the league”. And “making millions”.

glad you admit that he wasn’t a good player

 

and fyi. You draft someone in the first round to be a perennial all pro.  Not to spend half his career as a 3rd corner

let’s hope Travis has a better career than AJ.  He had one td.  5 INT and 2 fumble recoveries in his 9 year career.   He is unemployed at 31.

Hunter has matched Jackson career in td in only 10 games   And has one int  so he’s on his way
