KeymasterOh you didn’t know that?
Yeah and get this. The sh head has opt outs every year. So like oh. I hit 40hr geee I think someone will give me $65 million. I’m out of here
last year what did I say? I said his value was 20-24 mil a year and thought LA could get him for 5 years 100-120 mil
he has the greatest agent in the world to play that lackluster no hustle piece of crap into the largest contract per year in history.
he’s Cory Bellinger. He only cares in a contract year. Maybe that’s why his agent negotiated yearly opt outs. To keep him motivated.
question. Worse contract. Him or Adam rendon?

KeymasterAddendum. So when the players union and owners come to a deal. If there is a salary cap. What will happen is that to get under it they will allow teams a couple of options.
one is that they will be allowed to cut a player and still owe him the money. But his salary. For a given window. Meaning players they cut like in the first few months or year? Won’t count against the cap.
so if the cap is $250 mil and the dodgers are at $310? And those are both really reasonable numbers. Pretty close. Then LA could cut him. Still owe him. He could sign somewhere else and they’d still pay him. But his $$$ disappears.
the question will be whether whatever teams sign him for does that go back to LA or is it add on for him? Think of it this way. That piece of crap could get cut. Make $60 m a year watching the View like the P he is. And then someone could sign him for $10 million and he could possibly make $70 million a year
anyway my prediction if the negotiations come to that this winter is that la might just walk away from him. I think if they trade him say for some scrub and agree to pay $50 million of his deal? I think that $50 mil a year still counts against the cap. Think they will need to cut him
possibly Edwin Diaz too though I suspect his situation is akin to tanner scott. Who now that the pressure and attention has moved to someone else. Is functional again
