1) My conspiracy theory is that Black Knights needed to eliminate all his old posts which kept embarrassing him and exposing his bad takes led us to losing OHT, Coach, Fresno Mike, conquest and so many others…

2) politics. Sign of the times and I’m glad Java added myself but I do think a lot of folks political leanings  got “exposed” and some couldn’t handle or appreciate it. Typical but still sad. It also changed the board in a way and that’s unfortunate. This is not being critical it’s just an opinion/assessmnent

3) CLR. He’s been a tough follow. Not a great recruiter half the time, no personality and a bunch of heart break losses. Hard to build fan momentum in his era

It’s crazy that with each change a new crop of posters have come and gone.  Java, did older versions of the board really have more actual posters or were there the same amount as past few but with just more handles per user?  I know art was like 20 different names, and I have a sneaky suspicion that art was just an alias anyways.

Well yes.  Art was an alias.  And he was a person. From oc. Initials were RN.

as to the old board.  Yes it had a lot of visitors.  The height of visitation were all the freeloaders who wanted recruiting information by not paying for it  and the pressure to get info developed sources was just not worth it considering I had a full-time job  at the time I was worried also about being a USC season ticket holder and a member of a support group and yet posting inside info

 

so, eventually, a lot of our thunder was taken by the rivals and whatever other recruiting services there were out there who were truly professionals   and I think a lot of that moved to various other social media platforms, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram who knows but I don’t think if you look around the Internet there are that many boards that people go on and exchange information anymore

I have also never promoted the place

 

so I think a lot of what happened is that kids do everything on their phones these days coming to a standalone site to talk about sports is something that we are all programmed with but younger kids don’t come here  and a lot of the older members here are just outgrow it or die off

I think one thing that hurt. It was a lot of of the USC centered banter  that ran off people who might be interested in talking about Arizona Arizona state cow Washington, Oregon  we’ve had a few people from those schools over the years, but the USC town tends to be very heavy

 

and I also think allowing free rain to people like declutter in the past August West San Clemente Pasadena and fraud hurt traffic.  I think in a single post those people are funny and amusing, but I think long-term folks just don’t like engaging in the negativity that they bring  August and Pasadena actually had some variety to them. The others are just people who show up and bitch all the time  that gets old pretty quick

I’m actually developing a couple of logos and I’m thinking about doing some advertising

 

the site does not make any money of course it has no advertising, but I’ve got money now and might be interested in seeing if I can recruit a few people here and there
