ParticipantAnd a little tragic
I know we SC fans are all in our feelings and ucla hasn’t set any good records the last 10 years but we haven’t fallen like they have. This is downright shocking
I would never have predicted this when the Pac fell.
it has to speak to more then that tho? Talent coaching conference all of it? Is it wokeism?
Harbaugh had us fooled

KeymasterHasn’t Stanford refused to play the NIL game? And cal is broke?
I have said from the time NIL came about that if Stanford wanted to they could absolutely dominate cfb. They don’t even take advertising in their stadium. Every scholarship and salary is endowed. In the whole athletic program. The money they could throw is insane.
but they don’t. Stanford is who ND pretends they are.

ParticipantStanford has the richest alumni donor base in div 1 college athlrics
USC and Northwestern are next.
this is based on billionaire undergraduate alumni and only Stanford has more than USC in div 1
only Stanford has more mega donors I.e. Alums who a fortune of more than $30 million.
texas and Texas A&M get oil money to fund their athletics.
none of these five schools will run out of money to fund athletics
northwestrn just opened a beautiful new football stadium that cost $875 million
USC is perfectly suited for the nil era

ParticipantBruddah SC Gator see this report, USC is not listed in top 20. I think USC is around 22nd to 24th ranked? You said college athletics? Heck, all the Ivy League schools play D-1 FB, but in the lower D-1 FCS division. Whereas Stanford is in the upper FBS division (power 5 conferences). What’s sad is that Stanford has a rich history of very good FB teams. Yeah, Java their BOD decided not to play the NIL game.

ParticipantStop talking and we won’t realize how dumb you are
money will never be a problem for USC and Stanford. Period. USC and Stanfords donor bases are so large and rich money is no problem for either school. Not sure why you can’t see that
Texas and Texas A&M are guaranteed oil money which puts them in a different category from everyone else.
if Stanford decides to spend money on football like Northwestern they will be fine
right now they don’t want to not because they don’t have the money
USC has the donor bases, the location, LA, the iconic stadium, the coliseum, the football Heismans and national championships, the band, the song girls, the ICONIC fight song, Conquest, the mascot etc etc etc
and the money.

ParticipantGood news is: It’s still Los Angeles and USC
unfortunately the very people who are hurt the most are the very people who vote democratic
go figure
It will have to get worse before it’s gets better
Regarding the move to Orange County
good or bad that was never ever going to happen not in a million years
Were they considering moving to where Pepperdine is?

Participantalmost all Americans left loss angeles and have no desire to return. Why would they?
It’s like Rome. It’s NEVER coming back. The place is ugly, filthy, full of foreigners, dangerous etc. Homelessness is the only industry that makes any money. Even entertainment is bailing. What’s left? They can’t even keep the streets lit at night. Good luck with that.

ParticipantBruddah Pasadena, in Stanford’s defense, Wake Forest has a very good team dis 2026 season, 4-1. They played Miami tuff but loss, close game. WF has a top DT QB Gio Lopez and tuff D. Saw WF play vs Miami and Louisville, came away very impressed with how they play FB. Shoot QB Lopez is a player! WF is a very physical team (wished USC D played like them)… Cheers
