28-14 feels a lot better knowing northwestern is going to take 5-6 minutes to score.

5 and out followed by 91 yard drive is huge.

USC now with 253 yards passing and 107 rushing.  360 offense in a grinding game this early looks good   NW is 208   Starting to get separation

This game is not over.  Feels slow. But. USC is 7 points away from game over. I don’t think northwestern has 3 tds left in them as slowly as theirs offense is moving so 1 USC td should do it.   Fg might.

I think that even if northwestern scores here though I haven’t done the math in my head on it w the time and stuff.

but I’m going with first team to get to 35 not only ends there but wins.  Obviously that looks like USC at the moment.  USC d has benefited from northwestern stupidly burning two of their 3 timeouts on offense.  Thanks for the breather and thanks for using timeouts you might well need later cats

28-17  headed to the 4th.  USC dominating the stats. NW running better because they have to.  Can’t likely win this game though the air.  1/3 of their pass yards have been one play.  USC scores 7 here it’s over.  If they get 3.  Still a possibility

nice goal line call to lemon.  I wonder if fraud thinks Riley was just trying to show how smart he was while scoring 7.

35-17 USC and while there’s  11:10 left I just don’t think NW.  like the Michigan teams they are built like.  Is built to score 18-19 points on 3 possessions in 11 minutes.  Especially since USC offense is moving the ball with 420 yards to 253  and likely will be able to kill some clock themselves.
