I watched some matches, but changed the channel.  Kinda boring to me.  Shoot, there were a lot of un-call fouls, very physical, dangerous shoving, tripping, pushing in da back.  Difficult to enjoy watching soccer, I do not know the rules and what I’m looking at.  I saw a score, but the ref called it off/back.  Apparently there were 2 offensive players in the goalie box.  I think the call was off sides, can’t have more than one offensive player in the box was the reason?  Anyway it looked good to me and did not understand the call.

I Google if there are different styles between countries and regions.  And, I was surprised yes there are different styles.  See Google AI answer below.  To all da soccer fans, fight on to the World Cup…  Cheers

PS.  The World Cup of soccer is huge and very popular.  The stadiums are packed with fans dat flew in from 33 countries.  The 11 American cities are having a big economic windfall.  Shaka.  Oh, the international community call soccer (football) makes good sense.

My favorite part is seeing all the foreigners marvel at unlimited ice.   Air conditioning.
free refills. Texas roadhouse rolls. Waffle House. Whataburger and in n out.    Buccees.  Bass pro.  Friendly Americans.  Massive huge 2000 sf houses in cul de sacs that euros say would be for the rich in their country.    Going crazy at our stadiums.  Pick up trucks.  And flyovers.

I like the different fans and their bands.  Their dances and singing and all that fun. Nice to see them appreciate an America that sometimes we forget is so great

Yeah Bruddah Java, I’ve read dat many foreigners said they love America.  America:  so big, nice homes, awesome BBQ, food plates big portions, nice weather, raved about our beaches, love the radio stations (so many types of music to hear), beautiful women, nice looking men, great shopping malls and stores.

Big complaint venue food prices:  beer $20, hamburger $24, hot dogs $15, soft drinks $10 (dam, I would complain too).

Oh, people said their countries lied to them; beware of rude Americans and crime.  Hell, saw many YouTube videos that had people saying how nice and kind Americans were.  That they did not experience any crime or bad elements.  Also, they said the variety of foods in America was to died for.

Many were sad to leave and go back home.  They want to come back and live here.  America is a great country.  Some of them even cried the day of departure, but can’t wait to come back for vacation.  People addressing to Americans, “You do not know how good you have living in the America.  You live in a Great country.”  They are gonna spread their amazing experience to their countrymen, “Go see America!”

That’s how I feel when I go visit other countries and come back here.

I love traveling the world, but there’s no place like home and I truly could travel all 50 states and enjoy the variety here

I’ve seen the Xolos in TJ a couple times, talk about a party; fans are passionate and everyone having a good time. I can get into that, I’m just a casual soccer fan. Probably would never go to a US team game. It didn’t hurt that the stadium was adjacent to a casino and a dog track. The last time i saw dog races was in Henderson NV about 45 years ago lol.

And they get all pissy even though the English invented the word and used it for years.  Australia and other countries still do.

 

Soccer is short for Association  of something.  Assoc  and the English at the time were adding er to everything.  Like Rugger became Rugby  Soccer was just how their morphed that word

Crazy ending today for Argentina v England.  I flipped on the TV right after England went up 1-0 and watched Argentina just attack non stop for 30 minutes and finally England give up 2 in the last 5 min to lose.

 

Man if you cared about England or soccer, this was a crushing loss.  And an all time win for Argentina.  Messi set up both goals.  I thought he was a great scorer, but he’s quite a facilitator.
