19-8 on Feb 21st. Almost an ncaa lock. School gets $50M commitment from big donors. School says they will match.

then they Lose 4 straight games in conference. Now out of tourney unless they turn around in this weeks conference tourney.

man that guy couldn’t win a big game outside of a ucla game if his life depended on it.

As usual I disagree with you.
Andy was an excellent recruiter. He was incredibly average as a “coach” and was actually terrible at FT coaching.
btw in one of the key losses late in season, SMU had a historically bad night at FT line. Like I said the whole Endfield experience.

im not out on Muss Bus yet. Fingers crossed. And yes I to think SC Hoops and ucla football are cursed as well. Hard not too if you’re paying attention. UCLA vs Miami game getting rescheduled and then losing their spot in a very winnable NC game. Just incredible. And when SC hoops starts beating their demons, ncaa gets involved. Quickly. Makes you wonder

Edgerrin James and Vince Young are names that will haunt their respective fans forever.  Although the Cade curse as it’s referred to may have originated  on one play in the SC game that year.

UCLA was bludgeoning SC at the Rose Bowl and leading by three scores, taking a knee or a run up the middle would have been the humane thing to do even against the Trojans. As the clock clicked under 20 seconds Cade took the snap, faked the pitch and took off in the other direction, no one there to protect him. A naked bootleg and a timeless gut punch. Safety Rashard Cook finally brought him down at the end of a 25 yd run that completed UCLA’s victory 34-17 in unsavory fashion.

Many say that was the moment others point to Miami.  Despite the crappy 25 years, Ucla football is light years ahead of SC basketball in terms of historical success so I’m not buying your analogy.

Vince Young stopped a 3 peat. I’m good with two in a row. Most don’t know that. And yes it took me 10 years to get over that game.

No surprise you’re defending UCLA football. Have fun with that 🍻 when was the last rose bowl win?

That’s simply not true. In order for you to grasp any level of historical success you have to go as far back for UCLA football as USC has to go for their basketball

I would say, USC’s basketball facilities situation and attendance is better than UCLA’s now.   USC has been an elite eight basketball team more recently than UCLA has been relevant at all in football

I think that the analogies between the two failed programs are extremely apt.

Pauley is in need of renovation. galen is pretty slick. Ive seen games at both. I haven’t done a deep dive but small market teams excel at CBB. I don’t know what make of it. I can tell you in Tucson basketball is holy. In LA it seems more meh. Would like to hear thoughts from the gallery.
