Keymasterlet’s have a little bet shall we?
since we have established, the USC football is dead and no one wants to come and Lincoln Riley ruined the program and everyone in LA goes to the beach and things had nothing to do with the weather or people being on campus or school starting. we know that no one’s going to attend USC football games this year
so we have a game this Friday
I guess we should expect another 50,000 fan count announcement and it should look like there are about 25,000 in the seats and I’m sure we will see lots of pictures either 20 minutes before kickoff or with five minutes left and the game three touchdowns out of reach with empty stands
so the question I ask is how many fans will be at this game and what are you willing to bet on it?
50,000?
55,000?
60,000?
65,000?
70,000?
75,000?
how many you might say that Fresno State has a great fan following and travelas well. Something that’s kind of weird right now and it seems to be pervasive in college football. Is that Fresno who has a stadium capacity I think of about 40,000 and used to fill it up lately has had half filled stadiums so I’m not sure if they are even traveling well anymore I doubt it
last time Fresno played at USC Caleb Williams wasn’t particularly elusive I think it was about his second game he was taking a lot of shots for a guy playing a group of five school
anyway what’s your attendance guess? Looks like they are going to need to rely on USC fans to fill the stadium this time
I want to say 70,000 but I don’t think it’s going to be that many I’m torn between 60 and 65,000
Edit, I take this all back. Since the game is Friday, I think we are looking at another attendance disaster. lol

ParticipantMy point isn’t that usc is dead. It’s that decision makers should have seen this issue coming a Mile away and avoided it. The PR of those stadium shots are worth negative MILLIONS.
Unlike you I don’t defend stupidity

KeymasterLearning lessons from your Double sided dildo friend.
Spend less time posting about the WNBA and more reading about college football.
Fresno Averaged about 37,000 tickets sold to games last year. In the new math of CFB that means about 30K attended per game. At home.
They sure are not bringing their average home crowd to LA.
I would be pleasantly surprised if they brought 10,000 but the days of the Red Wave are over unless they make big noise in the new PAC-12 for awhile

ParticipantFresneck travels well. The USC fans will arrive late, leave early, mostly stay silent. They will pump in artificial noise. The white students and freshmen will show up but you can’t here them through the burkas.

ParticipantSo you hate USC fans too? If USC researchers discovered a cure for cancer, you’d run them down too. You have nothing going in your life, you pathetic little shit.

LA DuckParticipantI have no dog in this fight, but I think you need to set some rules here, Java.
Sure, the official USC count was 51,114. But I think there were likely fewer fannies in the seats than that. That 51k was likely based on ticket sales, not attendance figures. But please set me straight if wrong.
Some accounts state there were closer to 20k or 30k present.
So will you base your bet on the “announced” crowd for the coming games knowing likely there were fewer there?
I personally don’t know what all the fuss is about and why it matters to USC fans or to other college football fans. The first true sell out will undoubtedly be the Oregon game on Sept. 26. Win that, and my guess is likely you won’t see an actual (not “announced”) home crowd of fewer than 70k going forward at the Coliseum….and it will look like it.
That said, there is really nothing better than going to games where the whole stadium is present and involved. Oregon sold out all its games last year and I’m looking forward to attending a game with another full stadium on Saturday vs Boise St.
But…I can pretty much guarantee there will be quite a few quack fans missing the following game, a Friday night game vs Portland State – a 2+ hour drive in traffic from Portland (for those who aren’t working or can get off work) where most of Oregon’s fans (and Viking fans) reside.
Hey as a season ticket holder at least I have an excuse, I’ll be out of the country for that one. 🙂
But…if we count ticket sales rather than actual attendance, I’ll theoretically be there. Not that it makes any sense….lol

KeymasterI don’t think there is any way to actually do that. Autzen is an announced sell out every time but you and I know there are very real swaths of empty seats there.
You didn’t give me your number for the USC game.
I saw parts of it on TV where they had a good number of folks there. But USC has a lot of room out of the sun and in tailgating areas. Think some showed up and said screw it. It’s also a big stadium. I would guess there were 40-45 K bodies in the house somewhere at various times.
The POINT is USC football is dead. San C Pasadena and Fraud said so. So since that is the case, we will see no one here this week. Another announced crowd of 51K and 25 people in the stands.
Yet no one is giving a guess here except me. Which is 100% typical.
However, I GUARANTEE you if the numbers are spares
SEE I TOLD YOU SO San Clemente will say he predicted it.
Pasadena Trojan will tell us back in 2008 he said this exact thing would happen.
Fraud will tell us when his catholic priest professors at Gonfaga diddled him, there were more people watching than at a USC game.
Which reminds me. What is the difference between Woody from Toy Story and Fraud’s Gonzaga Priests?
Woody goes limp when a child walks into the room

ParticipantI predict 55k announced. We’ll never know the actual attendance so we can only bet on announced. Friday won’t bring out big numbers but Fresno travels decently so…
And a 17-point Win. By USC. JM will throw for over 300 yards with around 75% completion, but three of his 6 incompletions (one of them a pick) will demonstrate how much he sucks to the board QB guru. And of course he won’t run the ball 10 times either.

TirebiterParticipantI’ll bet $18M cash that no one is there on Saturday. Game is on Friday you boob. You’re a closet Frezburg fan anyways. Will you be there?
