Sorry to break up your wnba posts, Pasadena. Any thoughts on the men’s team, anyone? Lost a lot from last year’s medicocre-ish team, but Arenas has high upside and Rice coming back is huge. Collie had his moments too. The three incoming frontcourt players are highly ranked, so if one of them at least can step up I think this team can sneak up on a few teams and sneak into the tourney. sounds like Collins plays much bigger than his 6’9 frame. Throw a surprise transfer stepping up – looking at you Cox – and away we go. Stranger things have happened, but it’s not impossible.

They got some talent for sure but on the negative side seven one Center Eric Reibe is out indefinitely because of foot surgery, KJ Lewis is still dealing with the ongoing ankle injury that kept him sidelined the latter part of last year, and Musselman is the coach.

Thanks. Reibe’s loss definitely hurts. Hopefully the Ratliffes end up being USC’s version of Stanford’s Lopez brothers. Not the Cravens lol. Lewis imo might be the tougher loss, that was a lot of points. And it’s not like he transferred from Colgate or Princeton lol, he played at uOa and Georgetown. I think a lot of the season will hinge on his ankle.

How are the bruins looking? I’ve seen predictions all over the map on them. Perdue seems like the consensus pick to win the BIG, but second seems up for grabs. Lots of minutes returning for them, and arguable 3/4 top players returning. And Dent sounds like a nice pickup by all accounts. It’s nice to see them play uOa this season, that was always a good PAC rivalry.

UCLA is going to be an average team this year, and that will likely be the end of the Cronin era.  They have some horses, but not enough of a team to go very far, if they even make the dance.  I think they will end up 4th in the B1G.  Fans will throw dildos if it gets worse than that.
