close game throughout    Tight game late  Oregon pulls away when key executions by USC don’t happen

Some reasons to be optimistic mostly

playimg from behind.

not enough depth.  Lost the running game on both sides of the ball.

better DL play but OL still handled too well by UO.

I said  last year that Uo was a couple or few years ahead in talent. Seeing all the freshmen playing for usc.  Still the case.  At least a year behind.

in games like that you have to be clean and lucky.

missing a fg is not clean.  Roughing the passer was a turnover and would have handed the Trojans the ball in a tie game in the fourth quarter

and when you do the above and face a team with better lines.  Better run game.  Better dbs?  Or more experienced ones?  You lose. And they did
