Exactly, aside from still playing ucla every year the schedule is much harder in the BIG than the PAC. For all of Riley’s faults he is better than Helton. When Riley is fired a major program will grab him. No major program is going after Helton or ever will. He can’t even win at Georgia Southern

And maybe that’s a reason to can him.  I mean.  $50 million owed is an anvil around his neck. But if someone picks him up.  $10 m a year isn’t a huge salary anymore. Probably going rate for a top 20 coach.  So maybe usc thinks they pay him for a year and then he gets hired again

Hugs was notorious for undisciplined teams and tons of 15 yard penalties. We were tops in the country for many years.

I actually think hugs had way more talent on his rosters than Riley. Sam, Leonard Williams, Nwoso, RoJo, Pittman, JuJu, St Brown, avt, action Jackson, adore,  cravens just to name a few. Those are legit, NFL stars, or at least starters.
holy shit that’s a lot of dudes. Well, they did win a Rose Bowl and followed that up with the Pac 12 championship so they built up their résumé a little bit
