Mortgage rates are about 7.50 % for good credit borrowers. With the bond sell off continuing unabated we might touch an 8 handle. Nevertheless, prices are holding firm. At least in Southern California. Sellers are being stubborn. Price deceleration is certainly evident but Buyers are shaking off the high rates and keep on trucking. 20/21 was a party.

That’s an interesting read.  I wondered.  As a homeowner

Interesting how rarely we have seen a declining market.

Don’t wait to buy real estate, buy real estate and wait.

I know property taxes are local govt driven and vary from state to state and county to county, but I’m curious how overall property taxes have risen vs the value of homes. California’s prop 13 is a life saver. I’m paying more on a home around 1/2 the size and 14 years older in tejas than califas. And worth literally half as much.

Thank god for prop 13. California is 1.25% of assessed value

Texas is ridiculous, 2% of assessed value . They reassess every year to market value.
Crap weather, crap infrastructure but great for people so terrified to walk out their door because they can take a gun. sad.

        So does Florida.
