KeymasterKyle Tucker. He’s an OBP monster. 377-400. Will get you 25 hr and 25 steals a year. And will play gold glove right field. Also left handed
rheyll get teoscar out of rf where he was terrible. Will put pages back in cf and teo in left.
Tucker will be what Conforto was supposed to be He doesn’t bat high enough or have enough power to have Juan Soto demand or money
but for la he improves that LF of spot And vastly improved their D He makes $17 mil at age 28 and I think he could be had for 4 years $100 million Teo money but lefty More steals Higher obp and better defense
they’ll pay for him with the expiring contacts of Conforto and Kershaw $35 million between the two

ParticipantThat’s a good call. Chicago is running him out of town a bit. He had a very poor 2nd half apparently

KeymasterMaybe. I think it’s easy to point to a Soto or a schwarber and say yeah. We gonna get that guy. Mmmmm nah
you’re gonna get a guy who has some youth to him. Gonna get a guy you can afford. And gonna get a guy who makes you better and improves you.
I don’t think Tucker is a super star. But he’s a star. I think he could thrive in la li who. Most do. Clearly, they need a left-handed quality, defense outfielder who has some power. That was the entire idea behind Conforto And since he was on a one year deal and left off the playoff roster that experiment is obviously over. He just didn’t work out
Tucker struck out 88 times this year. Which in 1975 would’ve been concerning today that’s considered a low strike out rate. Stealing 25 means he’s got speed and the Dodgers don’t have that many guys who can swipe 25 bases The oba of 350-400 is sweet. Thats a hidden gem where he’d be hitting. Probably 6-9 in their lineup. You get that oba and occasional pop and speed from a 6-9 guy and you’re a good team
the defense in RF has been horrible this year. Teo has to get out. This cures that. And it appears Mookie isn’t going back to right.
I don’t “think” anyone is paying $30 million for 22-27 hr. Don’t “think” anyone is paying $30 mil for 270 ba. I may be wrong but I doubt it. I also don’t think those numbers get you a 6-7 year deal. I might be wrong, but if I am him and I get a chance to make 100000,000 over four years being a .270 hitter with moderate power and moderate speed and good defense a legitimate chance to win a World Series every year you were there. I think you do it. I think you take the money and the chance to win. Obviously, his agent is going to push for more and so if someone else comes along and offers 5 to 7 years then I guess LA has a problem
for the Dodgers what it does is it gives them an opportunity to get a little bit younger. Freeman treinan Muncy are all hitting twilight. Mookie and Will smith soon to follow both because of age and the positions they play. I only think Shohei pitches 2-3 more seasons.
so to get a guy you can lock up for 4 years and shift Kershaw and Rojas and Conforto expiring money at him? I like
Kim should replace Rojas and with edman handle 2b and relief in the of or SS. He’s young and cheap.
they need to find two young guys coming up to replace Muncy and freeman a year later. Max might have one year left. Freddie two.
they have a lot of young arms and hopefully someone emerges as a top talent. Stone. Knack. Capernicus. River Ryan. And I said a year or 2 ago they should trade outman and Bobby miller while they had potential and talent. I don’t know whatever happened to outman but miller is likely gonna get a dfa now. They handled that wrong and will just lose 100% now.
but they have young arms. Sasaki Yamamoto and glasnow are all still young I think. So if they can find some arms in the system they’ll replace some bullpen and find a starter in the next couple years. They’re well set up and an amazing organization. It’s not all money.

KeymasterBtw I’ve been told I’m an idiot on fb because I think he can be had for $100 mill over 4 years. I was told he’s looking at a 10-12 year deal for $400 million
if that is the number I don’t sign him. Hes a good player. Even a very good player. He’s not elite. Not sure why you’d commit that kind of $ to him. At age 29 he probably has 4-5 productive seasons left. Paying him $400 million would be like paying $80 million a year for his 5 productive seasons.

troystoryParticipantI don’t think Tucker will come off the board for 4 yrs, $100m. That would be a perfect addition for that price tag. I think he’ll get more. But maybe he wants to be a Dodger, and takes a Teo type discount. There is a lot of smoke on this one, rumors abound on Tucker.
