ParticipantFor me, it’s Chasen Johnson. Had high hopes last year before the injury came, anxious to see him in a full season. He wasn’t as highly ranked as others, but he seems like someone who can contribute in a big way. Certainly has the speed for the position. I feel that secondary underperformed last year, and while I think the LB group was worse overall, the secondary had a lot of talent heading into 2025. Hoping to see a big step up for that unit as a whole and for Johnson individually.
Lot of hype around Boobie, but SC always gets and develops stud receivers so I’m not as worried about that group despite the youth.

ParticipantBowman on offense for me. With Riley’s ability to get guys open Bowman could have a great year.
Waymo too.
On defense, disappointing that Stewart isn’t ready to go. We saw from his limited play last year that he has some unique playmaking skills.Maiava is probably the key to the season. Will he take another huge step?

ParticipantI’m very curious about our D as a whole and if DC Patterson fixed things. If he is able to get our D in the Top 12 nation and play physical ball, we make the CFP (3 BIG teams should make the CFP)… Cheers
No worries about the O, even though we will have young Wr and TE’s.

KeymasterI want to see wafle and Winfield. Combine them with Stewart who is supposed to be a true frosh this year and you have 3 guys 18-19 who are supposed to dominate like Cody Patterson etc. Maybe I’m asking too much.

ParticipantWho are you most looking forward to seeing at ucla? I think Nico has a chance to take a big step up, and it sounds like the new LB Hendrick might have a day one impact. Maybe Wayne Knight?

ParticipantReally interested in seeing what Sahir West can bring off the edge as well as Omosigho. Nico will hopefully get into a groove with the new WRs, I think he has a huge upgrade as far as targets go, but season will ultimately ride on his shoulders. Expecting Knight to be a great addition in the backfield, but not sold on his size being able to handle a full season in the B1G, that is a lot to ask of any RB, so Thomas and Cox will have to step up and the OC will have to have some plays to get knight the ball with wheels and some open grass. There is a lot to like about the new roster, but that “like” is also completely based on hope at this time.

Fraud
ParticipantLongstreet. 5* QB with a real coach. Levett is awesome too but he’ll get hurt. Meanwhile, we have bugs. Hitching and bumbling through the jumpball offense.

ParticipantI am disappointed that we lost Longstreet, not going to lie. Interesting to see how he does.

KeymasterWhat a surprise to see you cheering against USC before the seasons even started.
how does it feel to be disappointed nearly all of the time? I guess we should ask your boyfriend.
