The one in Brooklyn has been on my to do list but just haven’t made it.

I’m celebrating being right about EVERYTHING and the Vegas restaurant is a lot closer to me than Brooklyn/

Thanks for your attention to this matter.

Is that better than having the tube steak down at the Jolly Rancher?

Yes, I dined there several months ago. Steak is tasty, but I’ve had better. They only char one side of the steak. Appetizers and Sides are average. Their famous bacon appetizer (forgot what they called it) is overrated. Go to Barry’s at Circa. Far better for about the same price. And let me know if/when you go. I’ll text my server and see if he’s available. He’s top notch. I have a few other places I prefer over PL, but Barry’s is my favorite in LV.

SW is fantastic, but not better imo.  SW is a great spot for a date.  Have nothing bad to say about SW food wise either.  Pricy, but everything at Wynn is pricey.  You get what you pay for.  Huge fan of Wynn and how they operate.  BTW, dined at Sinatra’s (Wynn/Encore) last Friday.  Recommend the patio (limited tables).  Nice, but I have a list of Italian restaurants in LV that are better.

Forgot to mention, Circa doesn’t allow anyone under 21,,,, and they check everyone’s ID upon entry.  Just in case you’re taking kids….  Heard good things about new steakhouse at the D.  Problem is you have to go into the D.  Speaking of great steakhouses in shitty casinos.  “The steakhouse” at Circus Circus is excellent.  Haven’t been there in a while because I hate going to circus circus.  It’s a total dump.

some other great steakhouses:  Bavette’s at Park MGM and Smith and Wolanski at the Venetian.  Just a few places I prefer.  I have friends who prefer other steakhouses.

Bruddah Brad, Back in da late 80’s someone told us about Circus Circus steaks (The Steak House).  We ordered Rib Eye and NY and they were  really good (a 10 ratings), priced around $38.  Heck we returned 2 more times.  The decor was very nice, but when CC got really dumpy, we stopped going to CC.  But, yeah CC, The Steak House served great steaks.

I wonder how it is today?  We will try some of your recommendations whenever we visit LV again (must save for $100+ prices, lol).  I always get Rib Eye and my wife likes NY.  Yep, a great grilled steak is Ono Kau Kau + a good Cab or Bordeaux makes the meal mo betta… Cheers

Yes, if “the steakhouse” wasn’t in the CCircus, it’d be up there with Barry’s.  It’s just that good.  Almost booked there for Valentine’s Day, but went to Bistecca at Tuscany instead.  Pleasantly surprised.  Nice restaurant, great food.  Bistecca would be a great choice for you and the wife.  Also have a few more recommendations for you.  Theres some gems out here and you don’t have to spend 300+ for a great meal.

Funny your first visit to the steakhouse was in the late 80s.  Same here.  I was in HS back then.  We drove from LA for a LV trip.  My ex’s grandparents took us for an event.  Gramps (RIP) was the one who introduced me to this wonderful restaurant.  I think I even remember playing arcade games afterwards.  Great memories…. BTW, prices have increased “slightly” since then.  Steaks there start at around 75 bucks.   That does NOT include sides or anything else….  Like I said, I have some great places for you lines up, just let me know when u come up.  And fyi, I’ll wont be in LV from Memorial to just before Labor Day weekend.

Correction.  Spoke to my wife and she believes our steaks were priced $29 Rib Eye, $27 NY, under $30 (1987) at Circus Circus, The Steakhouse.  She has way better memory than me dat’s for sure.  And, she agrees with me, rating their steaks a 10 too…  Cheers

Haven’t been to Barry’s yet but if Derek is running things it has to be great. The guy has a midas touch when it comes to restaurants. Even the coney dog place on fremont is good for what it is. Andiamos is really good. I heard somewhere Michelin is going to rate some places in vegas this year. About time.

Yes, hearing great things about Andiamo.  Tough to pass up on Barry’s if I’m going downtown.  Haven’t even been to Oscar’s in a couple of years (Talk about great atmosphere)….  If/when you decide to try Barry’s, let me know.  I have a few menu recommendations.  Also recommend a waiter.  Makes the experience that much better.  Cheers

Bruddah Brad, Las Vegas has so many top restaurants, it’s overwhelming.  But, the next time we visit LV, we want to try Herb’s and Rye (you recommended it).  I will make a reservation maybe 3 months ahead of time and secure their Happy Hour time slot.  The HH menu prices are discounted a lot.  You said the cocktails are A+ too.

I will look out for your other recommendations to Bruddah Big Balls…  Cheers

Been to SW. Barry’s (very tasty). Bavettes. I got dry aged at bavettes and wasn’t a fan at all. I have found Dry aged isn’t my thing. Tried it at Jeff  Ruby’s (not in vegas)  once also. 0-2. STK at cosmo is quite underwhelming. But all the chickens doesn’t suck.

NY Lugers is the best steak I’ve ever had. The heavy butter usage is fine by me.

IMO Carbones at aria is the overall best spot in town. Food service ambiance & just a beautiful dining room. Not cheap but not outrageous for what it’s worth. Finish it off with the banana foster. Hint: I’m a huge fan of Motown music and curtains on a booth

Last time I was there Barry Switzer and Jerry Jones were in private room with about 15 football folks I assume

The band the cranberries sat next to us another time. They were a headline on the strip that week.

        Always fun to see celebs.

To BB and Butkus, Waldorf as well as coachemup are just posting on BRO or shall I say the new BRO, as its been purchased by On3. What I want to know is what happened to Art and Vista Bruin, assuming they’re not the same person.

Eh Bruddah ATLBruin, tell Bruddah Waldorf to visit and post at WW sometimes.  We miss him.  Yeah, I too wonder what happened to Art and El Trojan?   When Bruddah Java X the old WW board, he got Bruddah TheSteve make this new WW Sports board, but there were mucho sign in and registration problems.  I notice many board members did not come back or attempted, but gave up.

TheSteve put up a Help function & it is all good, all they have to do is contact TheSteve and he will fix their account…  Cheers
