ParticipantPurdy had a great game and coaches really outcoached the rams. Gotta say,I still don’t think he’s top 10 in the NFL. It was one game, let’s see how he progresses rest of the year.

ParticipantHe’s def top 10 and every measurable stat proves it. Hes had a number of good to great years now
what he did last year with no D, no WRers & Kittle getting hurt was crazy
I love Mike Evans. Hope he gets a full year health wise. Abs beast
not sure what league is gonna do with Those FB bubble motions. Timing was impeccable but that looks illegal CFL stuff to me.

ParticipantIn no particular order, these imo are QB’s I would have ahead of him
Allen
Stafford
Mahomes
Burrow
Prescott
Herbert
Lamar
Caleb
Darnold
Jayden Daniels, even if he’s a divaStats aren’t everything, and if I had to win one game I would have these guys ahead of him. Eric Karros had pretty good stats, but would you take him in clutch time? I would also say that while the 9ers have been racked off and on with injuries, they have a massive offensive coaching advantage over all but maybe one coach in football.

ParticipantThat’s a good list. It does get hard to narrow it down. I like “top 10” more then a list lol
Purdy has done way more than a young Caleb or Jayden in this league. So that’s two
Dak is arguable. I like Dak but….hes a Great numbers guy but need more winning and higher playoff seeds. But hes def been a victim of no D behind him. Dallas is gonna make noise this year
You left off hurts. And I would too but he’s in the convo.
i actually don’t love Stafford. 1) i don’t think he’s clutch. He was 1-8 or 0-7 on 3rd downs in NFCCG last year. I’ve thought that a long time actually. He can’t move. Hes not a great thrower on the run. Those are real deficiencies. Puka helps Stafford more than the other way around IMO. Dude is both wide open all the time and makes great contested catches. Lol

ParticipantPhysical talent alone. Regardless of D behind them or Supporting cast or resume or division or head coach.
Arm strength. Arm accuracy. Mobility. Long ball accuracy. Intermediate accuracy. Off platform throws. Toughness. Clutch gene.
cant measure smarts. Or audible ability. Just step back and throw, or scramble or take off list.
1. Allen
2. Herbert (I said that after his Rose Bowl victory)
only dude since 2018 that was physically more talented then Sam
If he ran over dudes like Allen he would be one. Hes actually faster. And he might have a bigger arm. Abs freak. And he gets to be best looking and chillest dude in league. Yeah I hate him 😂😉
3. Darnold
If he had a propensity to run more like Allen and Herbert he could be #1. But he doesn’t seem to love it like Allen does. And yes he would get hurt
4. Mahomes? Caleb??? Or Lamar??
Caleb’s accuracy worries me. Same with Lamar but he’s been better than Caleb.
I love Mahomes but he’s actually been terrible on the long ball the last few seasons. His WR core isn’t great nor is his RB room. So tough to say
hes def gotten older last few years
BTW Sam would have made this list before 2024 Vikings. And people would have called me crazy

ParticipantI was on the fence with Hurts, but I think I would prefer Purdy over Hurts. Stafford was the last on my list along with Daniels tbh, big on stats but yes, is he clutch? He’s a gamer but does it result in cutch wins? Dunno. I’m not a fan of Dak, but I think if he was in those Super bowls as opposed to Purdy and Jimmy G they might very well have pulled one out. He has the physical tools. I agree with you, gulp, I think they make the nfc championship game at minimum. The Rams should rebound, the 9ers looked awesome, the Bears are coming on, the Seahawks won a clutch game w/out Darnold – so it’s a tough road. And the eagles are there too. The NFC def looks tougher to me than the afc this year
