We know the conference goes coast to coast now and logistically there are issues.

here’s my simple solution for football.

it a team has to cross 2 or more time zones to travel?  That game must not and will not begin before noon visiting local time or later than 7:30

that means Rutgers at USC could not start later than 4:30 west coast time and ucla at state Penn could not start earlier than 3 pm eastern

if you play one time zone over. No big.  Indiana versus Purdue or Michigan. Whenever.  Oregon and USC or UW.  No big

we have to eliminate west coast teams playing at 9-10 am on their clocks and have to avoid east coast teams playing out here at 10:30-2 am on their clocks.

sacrifices you make for the big $.  I am sure it could be done easily.  Wonder if they have a rule now and how much they really care about the well being of the players and staff

How about a conference can only encompase 2 time zones?

That would create some odd pairings wouldn’t it?  Ohio State and Georgia and Bama in the same conference?

I would not be opposed to that either.

But practically, give they all chase $ I think mine is reasonable to help protect the athletes.

Baseball has those rules for travel now.  Day games on travel days.  Days off etc.
