ParticipantOne thing I noticed since 2025, he has nicer suits. He must have dumped dat awful light blue suit. Someone got him to dress nicer… Cheers

ParticipantC. LR is not perfect, he still needs to answer going all in for Malachi Nelsen. Dang what a FU. No QB = 2027 which puts our QB room pretty on shaky grounds. C. LR must land a top 3 QB for 2028. So far it’s the typical/normal C. LR QB evaluation process = turtle slow… Cheers

KeymasterIt’s either Williams or a transfer.
and I’m leaving heavily toward the idea that usc will pursue a top level transfer. It just adds up

ParticipantYep, that looks clear, USC will be looking for a portal guy to challenge and push Williams

ParticipantBruddah Java and Bruddah BigBalls, after seeing how C.LR and GM Bowden went & going thru the 2027 & now 2028 HS Class, I think you guys are onto something. Yeah, maybe they want to focus on the TP for QB’s from now on. Looks like they do not want to invest grooming a HS kid for 2 years and lose him to the TP (aka Longstreet).
But, the TP is risky Biz too and gonna cost a lot, more than a HS kid. The pool for top QB’s in the TP is thin and small. The competition is Mucho, fierce with strong bidding wars. HS kid = $400 k to $1 M vs TP top QB’s $3.5 M to $4.5 M, huge financial variance. I like C. Kiffin model, it’s 50/50, HS/TP = one year HS, next year TP and so on.
I remember C.LR went all in for Howard, but losing him to Ohio St. C. LR had to go plan B hard. He did get Maiava though, which worked out well. Then, we see Indiana, Miami, C. Kiffin (Ole Miss & now LSU), Texas Tech, Oregon, UDub, and others do very well with TP QB’s. But, man do they pay Big Bucks getting them.
I think the 2028 class has some top QB’s with 2029 Thad Beaux in the mix for choosing. Both C.LR and GM Bowden have hard decisions to make…
Cheers

ParticipantFrom everything I hear and read, USC has a huge war chest to sign players. That makes all the difference as we learned from watching Oregon recruit. The size of the bag matters and we have a huge bag.
