I mean this isn’t hard….i read alot of his takes. He’s as straight of a shooter as there is.

fwiw I was ok with the flag. And yes that’s the penalty USC and Stephens should pay. The rest of this narrative about the hit is mostly BS.

the after hit stuff is much more open to criticism but again I don’t think DS was over the top. It wasn’t ideal but no the kid wasn’t a complete idiot beyond the initial celebration of a hard hit which is what a LBer lives for

What you don’t seem to get is DS Continuing to celebrate as Dante lay motionless on the ground at the same moment when no one knew how seriously he might be injured. It went beyond the initial celebration as you say. That ain’t football.

What you don’t seem to get is that there are two issues here, the hit and the player’s behavior after the hit. PT was only addressing the former. Or do you think Kurt Warner doesn’t get it?

He celebrated for 10 seconds AWAY from Donte and not even looking at him. He wasn’t dancing over his grave like everyone is acting like

again, not ideal. but the hit was big time. those get celebrated. just like a touchdown for the wide receiver.

I just don’t think it’s the linebackers role to check on everybody he hits after every play. he deserves some grace there. It’s tackle football for God sake
