But wanted a bag and wanted to be assured he would be WR1.

Apparently UsC was looking at Anderson.  Nick marsh. And felt Hines might be able to get the separation lane and Robinson struggled with.  The issue with branch was route discipline mainly. Hands also.  Blocking both in terms of effort and his size.  He was listed at 177 but weighed about 160.   He could have eventually fit but he didn’t want to put the work in

 

back to lane.  Not sure if it was Riley or Simmons but they told him he would likely not be WR1 and thus concerned him being able to put the tape together he wanted for the nfl.  Didn’t really want to start over anywhere else for one year so he declared.  I’m not sure how you still can’t have lots of tape to show the nfl even if you’re not the 1 guy but I’m guessing he really wanted the star treatment.  The publicity.  The jereMiah smith money  that sort of thing. And usc was kind of like well we’d “like” to have you back but if not there’s the door.  And he left.

it surprised me at the time.  Thought he was getting bad advice from his handlers. Turns out he was probably getting very good advice from his USC coaches, being brutally honest with him

he made some amazing catches but throws to him mostly were 50-50 because indeed. He could not get open.  Hines. Sims and certainly Mosley and Wyatt. Maybe even feaster.  All might be more effective.  And Anderson has yet to play

 

if I knew what the coaches knew I suppose he’d have been told the same.  But since I didn’t sit on a hockey bench, my whole life I really can’t say whether he would project better as a wide receiver by staying another year

I can’t remember any receiver in a long time getting open as much as Mosley. We’ll see how that goes vs real competition, but it’s very encouraging so far. Wyatt has surprised me the most and we have yet to really see feaster.

Feaster will be great, he just needs more reps.  He just turned 17 about three months ago and didn’t arrive until the Summer, so he didn’t have the Spring Ball time to acclimate that Wyatt and Mosley had.
