Am I the only one who thought he would have a bigger impact at SC? He is barely starting now in the NBA part time, and it looks like he chose the short-term bag over long term development. 11.9 PPG while starting only 19 of the 59 he played, after starting 46 of 71 his rookie year. For a 60 loss team. And the Jazz draft another PG so not sure what the future holds for Collier.

He played only one year. Was at 16 and 5. Wasn’t surrounded with a bunch of other studs

      He has issues for sure.

hes not a small guard but also not big or long.

      Not a great shooter

Unfortunately for him Utah got Keyonte George and he’s a star. A bonified. They then got a high pick and best players this year were guards. Also unfortunate.

Collier reminds me a lot of Robert Pack. Great motor. RB build. Hops. Fast. Strong.
Their weakness is a big one. Not great shooters.
Especially in this era it’s a requirement.

But he’s an elite passer. Like almost Nash good.

I see him as a good 6th or 7th man. JJ Barrera type. All gas no brakes get you 10-14 a night. And push the ball up the court.

As long as he keeps getting nba checks it means he’s not a bust as someone predicted

I loved Robert Pack as a Trojan, but I think Collier is more athletic whereas Pack imho had more basketball IQ. Would like to see Collier in a better environment to see what he could accomplish. He could make a career out of 6th man, agreed. I was shocked to that Pack ended up with a 13 year career and averaged 8.9 points. Good for him. Pack did have Miner for two years, but his Jr year that was a crappy team. Sr not too bad.

You could be right about pack vs Isiah. Idk. For some reason Isiah was rated the #1 overall HS recruit in nation and Pack was a junior college transfer with far less accolades. Something to think about imo. Part of it is players aren’t as good as they used to be. I mean pack and collier are not that far apart and yet one was a nobody and the other was a McDonald’s AA. Something to ponder. I’m being serious. MJ Barkley Bird Magic Kareem Hakeem Kobe….those dudes have not been “replaced”. Maybe Luka for Bird?
maybe. Put Luka on that Celtic team and he’d win some rings too.

Pack having a better nba career then Minor is just not reconcilable for someone who would sit front row at the la sports arena!

Thank you. Ladyboy and I have argued about this guy since he came to USC.

I agree with you. #1 recruit in the nation. Disappointing. He and Bronny did nothing together for USC, and have both done little to nothing in the NBA

lol.  We don’t agree on anything.

You said he was terrible and a bust. oh wow. A 6’3” #1 HS recruit isn’t the first pick in nba draft and didn’t win a natty so he’s a “bust” argument is super high level and very nuanced. Thanks for the Ted talk.

this “bust” has had some big games and huge assist numbers

my critique says he’s not perfect. I ain’t hating

        zzzzzzzzzzzzz
