      Georgia Southern or worse.

no way, with this tape, will he get an lateral or upgrade opportunity as a HC.

he has time to turn it around. But of course he won’t. He’s dumb. Very actually. And stubborn

Maybe he gets a high profile OC job. He will get that chance.
but it needs to be the right conference and the right program.
At Oklahoma, in the B12 he was a 9 game winner out of gate.
      he was inflated. Happens.

He’s been exposed at SC in B10.

I gave him a shot going into this season. Hope springs eternal. But We haven’t looked good under him the entire time. Maybe Year 1 was passable until CG and bowl game.

I was confused by transfer portal and loss of Caleb. Just So many moving pieces. But our problem Is X’s and O’s and not the Jimmy and Joes.

Save this post. Happy to eat crow. A lot of it.

      but I won’t….

Baylor will be looking for a new head coach.  Riley would be great in the Big 12 where defense is optional.

That’s the play. Save a bunch with no state income tax and be in right place for his “skillset” which is basically zero

He’s a fraud. Actually worse than Hugs.

Hugs was smart enough to absorb some sort of football basics. Good run game while here and good talent evaluator. Had some OL/DL go high in draft. He also was fortunate to be in p12 and have Sam Darnold making magic. UCLA eventually fired radio, hired Mora ( a very competent coach) and ran Hugs out of town.

History is gonna repeat itself soon

Hopefully new gig will offset CLRs salary and save USC some money

Huh?  UCLA and Mora ran Helton out of town?  No.

Helton’s first two years (2016-17, his best) were Mora’s last.  Mora beat up on SC his first three years, then lost three in a row (two to Helton’s teams), even with the immortal Josh Rosen at QB.  Chip Kelly took over in 2018 and trounced SC with a 3-9 team.

So why do you post stuff as facts?

        You do that a lot.

It’s gotten where I either dont believe anything you post or I fact check you.

You have no credibility left ladyboy.

        Zero.

        Zilch.

Riley is not a HC. He’s a mid major OC.

I doubt he wants to be a head coach again. He is a miserable guy. Who wants to be miserable?

He’s aged 20 years in the last five. Let him play with an offense. It’s the ONLY thing he’s good at. And he knows it. sc

He’d be a good coach in the BIG 12 where defense doesn’t matter much, just shoot outs and lots of points. He’s not as bad as Helton despite the records being the same. Arizona State, maybe Baylor. I could see him having some success at Baylor.

Just for college football chaos, Riley to Baylor, DeBoer to USC, Kiffin to Alabama, the college football coaching carousel would be spinning out of control!

The crazy thing about coaching is it’s almost like a marriage. A 50% hit or miss rate.

Java’s right. Lots of high fliers from years ago haven’t worked out.

        Ucla Chip

        Matt Campbell

        Luke Fickell

        dave Aranda

        Browles

        Peterson

        Charlie Weiss

sark & Kiffen at USC really don’t count. At least sark. He was peak scholie limit timeline. That’s a big ask.

        Florida State revolving doors

        Franklin

deboear at Washington vs Bama (sec driven or just no Penix and WR room?)

        Harbaugh at Stanford & Michigan

I could go on and on and on. I kind of did

whats funny is no one called Freeman at ND a homerun. Pete at USC. Chip at Oregon. Cignetti at Indiana.

lots of ingredients in that sauce. Hard to get it just right. As we see.

kiff was a good hire about 5 years ahead of time. sark I am not sold on. True it’s a hit or miss always, but when a known quantity flatlines at some point you have to take that risk. Unless you want to stagnate, and I think two more 7-8 win seasons is enough for Riley. Barring catastrophe to finish this year (and that is a possibility at the moment) I would say two more seasons. If he can’t get to a minimum of ten wins he will never get there here.

TWO more years???? If he can’t do it nxt year, when frosh players have matured (physically & understanding their role), it’s never gonna happen. Six years of frusration and failure is more than enough!

My bad, wasn’t clear. I’m counting this year as one and next as two. If we have back-to-back eight-win seasons (or worse) I think it’s time for him to go.

You like to clown on PJ Fleck but building a winner at Minnesota in the toughest B10 conferences in history is no easy order. Lots of good teams to beat.

of course Cignetti says hold my beer lol….

Cignetti short circuited the system by being in 30 JMU dudes who he scouted and developed. Plus a bunch of 5th-6th year players he scouted. And got a perfect QB for at least a season. Second best college season I’ve ever seen a QB play. Burrow #1. Mendoza #2. Probably really Cam but he’s a thief, cheat and a fool so f him.

It would be great if a one of the power 5 FB programs hire C.LR at $11 M for 6 years, dat would offset USC buyout a lot.  I say let can him.  Gotta get a hard nose type coach…  Cheers
