Has a nice ring to it don’t you think. Blowout earnings and revenue today sending the stock into the stratosphere after hours. Volatility works both ways of course, but when it’s in your favor let it run.

Wow! Congratulations. Why is it popping after hours?
You think I’m late to the party by getting on the train now? do you think it’s too late?

I might plunk down a little cash just to see what happens. I don’t like to buy after a big jump.

        Then don’t. I don’t either I wouldn’t

I am thinking about posting the chart on my account because I’m really confused. you and I were told about a particular investment strategy and I did the complete opposite and yet somehow in spite of that I’ve made gobs of money I’m trying to reconcile this. He’s such a genius. He tells everyone so

Although that post seems somewhat ambiguous, FWIW I’ve been touting Dell on this board long before it made a big move. After all this is the wealth board. In fact this post was just a while back and it was 182. What is it today? I’m not savvy enough like some guys to make millions trading options but no complaints with the companies I own. Happy trading.

You’re on the record with Dell and have been. Cheers on the move. One of the more brilliant moves on this board along with a couple of Java’s trades, Java’s moves during the April 02, 2025 downturn are legendary.

lol, there are investment strategies and then there are investment strategies. I always ask myself, “what would Warren Buffet do?” Oh yeah , buy gold!

It’s up so much after hours because that’s when the latest earnings were announced. They beat the estimates easily but what really sent it over the top was the full year guidance numbers  of $17.90 per share in adjusted earnings and revenue just under $170 billion. Investors were blown away.

l don’t think it’s too late to purchase shares because Dell is still in the early stages of AI with their process servers that generate a ton in sales.  I honestly don’t know what to tell you buying at the price it will probably open tomorrow morning, but if I were to add new money right now with the run the stock has been on I would dollar cost average my way in.
Take the amount you were going to invest and buy shares each month spreading it over a 10 t0 12 month time horizon. It works really well and lets the volatility work in your favor if you stay with it instead of a lump sum purchase at these levels.

Undoubtedly there will be profit taking and pullbacks along the way not to mention we haven’t even had a market correction of any significance. I’ll be interested to know what you decide.

I’m going to wait for the inevitable profit taking and slight dip to throw some money in there. I have some cash laying around and I invest for the long term 12-24 months and try to be patient. Not a lot maybe $20k just enough to be able to high five with you when it goes up.

There’s an old rule that you never make $ into that industry from hardware.  HP slid.   Ibm  got out and went into consulting.  Compaq sold out.   Dell went bankrupt and even Apple doesn’t make $ from phones.  It’s all the subscriptions. Partnerships ads and apps that they get a cut of when you use your phone all the time.  You are actually the commodity not the phone. And your info that they sell.  And sell access to you.

        this Dell thing surprises me

Dell definitely took me by surprise with their run up. I had dismissed them as irrelevant in the tech sector. Or more accurately I just didn’t pay attention to them. Congrats to RWC for having the vision to jump in.

People get positively orgasmic over guidance.
more than actual performance.  I’ve noticed this.  People put more $ into promises than actual results.  There’s got to be a moral here for society but for now it just baffles me
