I did not like either decision and said so at the time.
it wound up having no material effect as usc would have been up 6 with UW still needing a td to win and no tie possibility
I didn’t hate the first call and think the qb made the wrong decision on the cut.
the second call was awful since the first call showed they run out of that personnel and alignment group. You don’t practice that many plays with your backup qb in PAT situations. You don’t have time for all that. So you keep it simple and generally build everything off a simple base. So not surprise they line up the same. Same qb. And try to run a reverse from the two. Obviously I hated the play. Didn’t think they should have gone for it in the first place and posted it at the time.
