The Clippers are being fined a staggering $30 million, and the team will forfeit five first-round picks in the 2029, 2030, 2031, 2032 and 2033 NBA drafts. Leonard has been fined $700,000, payable to the NBA, though he avoids any suspension. The league, however, is suspending Ballmer, the team’s owner, from all league activities for one year.

 

And Kawaii got a slap on the wrist thanks to the Union.  Reminds me of Ted Turner in the 70’s.  Thin he got suspended for a year

I have to assume 2027 and 2028 aren’t in there because they were likely already traded away.  And the NBA waived their rule about not giving up 1st round picks two year in a row to punish them.  It also means they get nothing for them.  Can’t trade them for players or 2nd round picks.  Means they will have to buy free agents instead, which is a more expensive way of operating.
