ParticipantYou know what? I agree. And yes this was before the SB win.

troystoryParticipantThey could have kept him in SF. They decided to stay with Purdy, who had only one more year before the big contract and Sam signed for $10m, 1 yr in Minnesota. I wonder what those discussions were like, after the 2023 season. Did they consider a switch to Sam? There were no whispers that I recall. McCraffrey obviously felt like he should be considered.

ParticipantEvery situation is unique. Purdy was highest rated QBR that year to keep Sam on the bench. Didnt Purdy have a SB appearance as well? Purdy is a good culture coachable kid. Just can’t move off of that. Fairly.
i Called Purdy a poor mans Sam. He’s much smaller. Less of an arm. But clearly a talented kid. I liked him At ISU. A lot. But I love Sam’s game. Levels to this.
San Fran made a business decision. A tough call in many ways. But yeah that was a miss.
they signed Purdy for huge contract. Smart move would have been to pay Purdy as a #10-15 QB and if he said no get Sam for $12M per year for 3 years plus incentives. (Don’t think it was $10m)
I saw Shanahan on TV on SB Sunday. He predicted Seattle would win and said Sams a “stud”. He knew. Should have acted on it.

ParticipantNo you’re quoting the Koran. That useless fake “bible” written by a pedo.
Darnold was always destined for greatness. Like I CALLED it.

San Clemente
ParticipantHas sanka ever been more wrong, than about Sam?
WEll his first three marriages have to be up there.
Starting a coffee bidness in methland when he doesn’t even like or drink coffee. That was pretty wrong.
How about his first warehouse that came with a homeless camp. That was brain dead.
trying to pet a sea lion was dumb. right up there with his idea he could redesign this board into a ghost town.
Still have to stick with his his post that Caleb Williams wasn’t elusive. That still tops them all. Dumbest thing ever posted on the internet , and it’s not really close.
Any true American roots for Sam Darnold. Never enjoyed a super bowl as much as the last one. makes me smile just thinking about it. sc

ParticipantLmao. So I see you two haven’t gotten closer since becoming “neighbors”?
Hating on Sam was his #1. He was trashing Sam in college. And hating on a USC great just didn’t make sense. Unless it does I guess?
but #2 was trying to compare methland vs San Clemente and he ran reconnaissance missions “proving” his point. My goodness that was classic
#3 was Helton is as good of a coach as Harbaugh. 😂🤦♂️😂
No wonder he threw away the archives on this board.
