By NCAA rules, USC’s week 0 opponent has to be a team that has played at Hawaii

Unless the decide to schedule the game another week.

 

So for now, that means USC will need to be playing either New Mexico, New Mexico State, UNLV, San Jose State, Air Force or U Mass.  Basically the Mountain West or Big West or whatever they are these days.

 

Careful what you wish for as UCLA lost to New Mexico this year doing this.
