Baseball Has Changed How it Measures VELO?

One was at the hand (release point) and before was at the plate (old way) where it already decreased in speed?  Seems very different.

i would say this. I see more guys throwing harder than ever before. I don’t think guys today are throwing harder than the Big Unit, Nolan or Clemons.  But clearly they are throwing harder than Don Sutton.
