Anyone else own WMT?

As much as I brag about some of my tech  stocks, WMT is my crown jewel when I look at the last couple of years.

I remember analysts saying tariffs would be a real negative for the company, apparently not with the share price hovering around all time highs. It’s done really well for you. 👍

You just never know. I started buying wmt in early 2020 figuring it would do well during the pandemic as folks stocked up on goods. It was about $34 bucks per share. Homerun. Also bought Kroger ( grocery stores ) for the same reason and it did ok for a while but not like this. Sold Kroger a few years ago.

More luck than anything else really. It’s been really hard to miss the last 6, 7 years if you stuck with solid companies. I thought I was smart pre 2008 and got taught a lesson that I will never forget. Pride comes before the fall. Even with stuff in my wheel house like residential real estate and mortgage loans, I’m cautious and stick to my spreadsheets and models. Stocks? Not so much but I have fun with it. Cheers.
