See CBS Sports QB rankings for 2026.  Many I disagree.  Tell us what you think with this rankings.

      https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-qb-rankings-power-conference-2026/

#3 Arch Manning, Texas.  Way overrated.  I’m thinking #15

#7 Gunner Stockton, UGA.  Way overrated, average arm.  I’m thinking #14

#14 Drew Mesteraker, Oklahoma St.  Too low, he’s a NFL type QB. I’m thinking #6

#22.  JK Sagpolutele, Cal.  Way off, I’m thinking #10.  When he enters the NFL draft, I feel he’s a 1st rounder QB.

#28  DJ Lagway, Baylor.  I’m thinking #18.  He could be higher if he gets the right support (good Wr’s, OL and solid coaching).

#30  Avery Johnson, Kansas St.  Way off, I’m thinking #17.  This kid is a very good QB.

#19 John Mateer, OU is an enigma.  When he transferred from Washington St after a very good RS Soph season (P = 3150 yds, 29 TD’s, 6 IT’s, R = 850 yds, 15 TD’s), most FB pundits said he will be top 5 DT QB at OU.  I agreed with them, saw him 2 times at Wash St and was very impressed.  He started well for OU but got hurt early into the 2025 season.  But, when JM came back, could not shake off the rust + threw 12 costly IT’s  and most of all could not match his Wash St stat’s for TD’s only producing (14 TD’s).  Saw him 3 times (1 before injury, 2 when he returned) last year and noticed his demise after returning; he was not the same QB.  Sad.

I still think he has the potential to get back to his Washington St days.  Mateer has all da tools, but must fix his mental game and regain his confidence.  If he can do dat, hell he is top 5 QB in nation.  Pulling for the kid…  Cheers

As much of a quack homer as I am, I think #1 may be a little overrated for Dante. I think he slots in more at around #6-8.

Moore has to work on seeing the field better (missed a TON of wide open receivers last season), and he tends to panic when the pocket breaks down leading to some bad habits.

He absolutely needs to progress relative to last year. If he does, and IF Oregon’s almost completely new OL can provide adequate protection, he may live up to a #1 billing.

If not (and that’s where I’m leaning currently), Oregon’s defense will need to win more games than last season despite the offense.

And that is entirely possible based on the anticipated strength of this quack defense in 2026.

Bruddah LA Duck, heck I have no problem with Dante as #1. I agree with CBS Sports and the author.  Be glad he came back (did not enter the draft).  With Dante running your O, your team is top 4 in country for sure… Cheers

My top 10 teams in dis order.  1. Ohio St, 2. Oregon, 3. Georgia-UGA, 4. Miami, 5. Notre Dame, 6. LSU, 7. Texas, 8. Indiana, 9.  Texas Tech, 10. Texas AM.  Watch out for Michigan, Penn St, USC, Oklahoma, BYU, Bama…  Cheers
