ParticipantKaboom! The markets expressing their approval on the guardrails being put in place. Financial markets are reacting with a huge vote of confidence. They expect less volatility, end to the war, and some semblance of rationality.
Big day for us today guys, lots of green in my portfolio right now. Cheers and keep stacking crabby patties!

ParticipantYes, it’s going to be very interesting to watch things play out in the short term but also in the long term. Today was the biggest one day rally of 2026. That speaks volumes about what the markets think of the election results. They liked it. To your point , data center construction will likely be impacted. Chip stocks took a hit today but other tech stocks rose Apple and Microsoft hit all time highs today. Let’s see what kind of policy initiatives are contemplated. Historically midterm elections shape stock performance in the near term but tend to not move markets much over the long term. What we saw yesterday was seismic and uncommon. The results in Texas in particular are concerning for data centers. Overall, I think extreme policy overhauls in any area are highly unlikely now that we have a divided government. A legislative gridlock caused by the division of power can act as a brake for foolish government spending. The financial markets have been rattled by the increased spending and debt loads of this administration ( specifically the bond market) . And of course the billions being spent on a war. I’m encouraged by the huge rally today and the implicit approval by the financial sector.
