How did NE ever make it to the SB?

This is a pet peeve of mine. The NFL has these playoffs in snowstorms where the team that wins is the team that doesn’t fumble the 5 pound slippery ball in the snowstorm.  Or the winner is the team that does a better job of plowing straight ahead and winning a 10 to 7 game like New England did in Denver.  Remember Denver lost their starting quarterback in a locker room celebration otherwise they are probably playing in the Super Bowl.

Anyway, so these teams play in snowstorms in these very tight, gritty trench, oriented, games  Then they go play in the Super Bowl in perfect conditions in warm weather and it’s a completely different game. so the team that wins a mud wrestling contest for their conference championship game  then goes and plays on a perfect field in perfect weather   Totally different kind of game

And yes, I realize that sounds a little hypocritical complaining about this considering my team is Denver and it was their field that had the snowstorm and that’s kind of one of the big advantages of playing in Denver that you have blizzards like that

New England has a tremendous defense.

I just think we are watching one of the great playoff defensive runs ever.  I am thinking of the 85 Chicago Bears. Or was that 86?  And I’m thinking of that Denver team that beat up Cam Newton, and before that Tom Brady about a decade ago in Peyton Manning’s last season.  And this defense here. Those are the three that have really stuck out at me over the years

New England has a great d too.  I mean. This is great football but man it’s rough to watch unless you’re a coach or a fan of either team. I’m none of the above so I have put the garbage cans out. Did my lifting done some reading eaten massive quantities of Tostitos and salsa
