ParticipantJust a thought regarding Dante Moore’s decision making process. Players’ agents work on commission and the commission Moore’s agent would receive from him returning to Oregon would be a lot smaller than if he turned pro and was drafted as the second player picked in the first round. That is a lot of money to pass up. Do you think that his agents may be leaning for him to go pro?

LA DuckParticipantOh, I’m certain the agents are leaning on him to go pro….and not necessarily for what’s best for Dante (as they do for most players).
I think Dante’s dealing with a difficult decision right now – go for the guaranteed MILLIONS and worry about his QBing play later.
Or take a few paltry million in 2026 knowing your payday may be initially less in 2027 in the NFL, but you will be in better shape once you do start for a team (which might be immediately), and could earn you even more MILLIONS down the road once his initial contract is up rather than coming in and underperforming his first few years in the NFL.
I don’t think a better case could have been made for him to stay in college than his performance in the Peach Bowl vs Indiana. Not that it was all his fault, of course, but some of it was (and some of it likely came from a basically torn and worn out and inattentive, soon-to-be ex OC in Stein seemingly with both feet out the door to Kentucky).
By the time I post this his decision may already be public knowledge. (My understanding is he has until 1 pm PT today to decide.)
I’m leaning towards him going to the NFL now since it’s taken him this long to announce – and in which case my understanding is Oregon will bring in another portal QB and not rely on Raiola exclusively in 2026.
