  Oil from Venezuela is gonna flow. Without knowing the details it was a precision strike by our military. The best in the world. Our military captured Noriega and there is zero doubt he was working with the Colombian cartels. Maduro? I’m not sure. Possible, but that oil is gonna come in real handy. Do we get the president of Colombia next? Mexico? That’s where the drug flow is really coming from.

    PT, this isn’t about drugs at all. If it were we would see Mexico or Colombia presidents in cuffs. All of the cocaine in the world comes from Colombia and all the fentanyl comes from Mexico with China supplying the raw materials. Remember Trump just pardoned a convicted narco president from Honduras. Convicted in the U.S. by the U.S. attorney general. Stopping drug flow has never been the goal.
    
    This is about oil and oil companies profits. Will it trickle down to us in the form of lower gas prices or will the oil companies hoard more cash?
    
    Bringing down the president of a third world country isn’t the hard part, the hard part comes next.

    Of course this is not just about drugs. It is about the security of our country.
    
    Maduro was warned last January 20th. Maduro remained defiant. Maduro was warned a month ago to leave the country. He didn’t listen. But just last week, Maduro ‘wanted to talk’. Too late.
    
    You lefties just love apologizing for your illegals, criminals and terrorists. I don’t get it.

    Fair counter but respectfully You need to stop over simplifying and over stating things. Plenty of drugs and narco cash in Venezuela. Heard of Tren de Agua? You sound like the Colorado governor saying apartment buildings weren’t taken over by gangsters….until video evidence surfaced.
    
    That being said you do make alot of sense too.
    
    And I like the future prospects of Venezuela without Maduro a lot more then with him.

  This was a preemptive strike on recovering the loss from China’s invasion of Taiwan. US is going to let them have it and not get sucked in to a war, or at least not at first. The oil revenue will highly outweigh the loss in Chip import costs once China takes control. The oil will fund domestic production. Good move. Iran will be driving cars like the Flinstones by next Friday.
