Makes sense. He won’t win as many games as fans will want. Lots of 7-5 and 8-4 years but he will scrub the Harbaugh/ Moore stink off the program.

Does he still have the fire and youth that a top level job with high expectations demands from their fans?  Chuck Noll said once you think about retiring you’re already there.

No way he has the fire to lift Michigan football. But I sense Michigan is looking for stability and not 11 wins a year. 8 or 9 wins and keep his deck in his pants is enough.,Even at his best he is just a good coach, not great in my opinion. His mission is to clean things up for the next guy.

Utah never had the ability to recruit the level of talent that Michigan does on a regular basis.  Whittingham is a very good coach IMO, and Michigan is making a wise move here.  Whittingham was banging his head against a brick recruiting wall at Utah and moving to UM removes that wall.

Whoa what a shocking news break.  Shoot C. Whittingham did not seem like the type to do dat to Utah, retire and find another job so quickly.  Looks like money talks and C. Whittingham took the bait.  No, I think the key for C. Whitt to do well at Michigan, he must R well and bring in top AC’s.  I always like him as a HC, just look what he has done at Utah with just average talent.

I’m sure he will R Southern Calif and all of Calif really hard.  I feel and think Michigan went after the right coach to clean up Michigan reputation and dignity.  Fight on to C. Whittingham…  Cheers

Thanxs Bruddah for posting and sharing this Big FB news.  Dang, SM provides a lot of breaking news, dat’s the power of SM…
