KeymasterLooks like they will try to resume negotiations for 2030
ND doesn’t want to adjust the schedule and USC doesn’t want to pack another playoff killing game at the end of a year when they already have several top b10 teams on schedule. Play ucla late and also have to possibly deal with a CCG.
ND needs games late in the schedule and doesn’t want to give up early season spots.
ND just signed a home and home in 26-27 with BYU so that decision pretty much closes the curtain on 90 years of rivalry. They didn’t play in 2020 and a few war years. So it hasnt been interrupted. And perhaps they’ll see each other in the playoff or a bowl game Something that’s been avoided in the past

ParticipantBoo. For the last few years I have noticed many USC folks want this series to end. But I guess college football is blowing up everything as we know it. Beating Notre Dame is the sweetest of regular season wins. Back this October in South Bend as USC took the field a fan a row down yelled out, “ I hate SC”. Feeling is mutual. ( in a sports rivalry sense, I love their campus). Anytime, anywhere, football schedules should be tough. Winning a national championship should be hard. They took my Bay Weekender and now my trip to Chicago and SB is gone. Let’s play UCLA twice, I guess. 1926 this series goes back to. Bring on San Jose State.,

ParticipantIf I’m the ND AD one of my first calls would be to Oregon’s AD to set up a home and home series.
In the attached photo…the 1978 Playboy AA team. Fresno’s Pat Howell in the forefront sitting next to ND’s Dave Huffman. They became friends. Notice anything of interest in the photo?
