Actually, estimates for 2024 of worldwide production is about 2500-2700 tons. But 24.5 tons. In a single one day seizure? It is something. Attacking Venezuelan speedboats in international waters? It is something. Certainly, more than the left’s typical response to a problem: Do nothing. Except to make sure which pronouns to use.

Fentanyl? It is still a problem. 1.7M pills were found in an abandoned storage locker in Colorado that was won by an auction bidder. The owner defaulted on the rents as he was in custody for drug crimes. He must not have been a criminal illegal immigrant otherwise he would have been released to continue with his crimes.

24 tons is definitely a big seizure. The seizure was done by the Coast Guard in Fla. That is not where the big shipments come from. The bulk of cocaine comes into the US thru the Mexican border, Juarez or Tijuana. You know because that’s where the violence is centered as the cartels fight for those smuggling points. Chapo and the Sinaloa Cartel had those entry points on lock but Chapos capture created a vacuum. A seizure of that size tells me an informant tipped off the authorities. One of the well known smuggling routes is Colombia to Ecuador to Panama to Guatemala to Mexico to the US. I would love to know which organization was bringing that load into Fla. Cartels are always looking for new routes but Fla is an odd one. Losing a shipment is just part of doing business for the Cartels. The Colombians guarantee the shipments up until they leave Ecuador, from there the Cartels take the hit on any seizures.

Fentany is continuing to flow which was my point. Almost 100% of the world’s cocaine supply comes from Colombia. 100% of the fentany comes from Mexico but the chemicals to make it come from a China. Venezuela is a pickle in an elephant’s ass in the drug trade. Colombia and China. Control those two countries and the faucet is off. Forget about Venezuela. Colombia and China. But you are not seeing that and you never will.

Yeah…sure…Venezuela is just an innocent victim in the drug trade. Lefties never cease to amaze me with their ignorance.

Yeah, I know way too much about cocaine. My first job out of USC was with a financial services company. Transamerica Corp, 22 years old and full of piss and vinegar as they say. As luck would have it, one of my coworkers was a Colombian from Cali. He and his family were deep into the cocaine trade.I worked and socialized with this guy for 2 years. Met his associates in the import  business. Scary people. This was when Colombians still controlled import and distribution. Now it’s the Mexicans controlling things and they are even scarier. The brutality of Mexican sicarios will make the Taliban shake in fear. In those days the cocaine was coming in from Miami to California . Delivered by couriers at LAX. I was there for the party,  coke and the hoes that come with all that. Very foolish but man what a crazy two years. I followed the Medellin and Cali Cartels then watched with  interest the Mexicans muscle the Columbians out of the trade. I have followed all of them. Escobar, Orejuela brothers, Ochoa, to the Mexicans, Chapo, Arellano Felix, Mayo, Beltran Leyva, Carrillo Fuentes, Zetas, Chicago Flores twins.. All of them. Here is what I know, all those drug lords are disposable.By the way, several worked as informants for the DEA. DEA let them traffick in exchange for information on rival traffickers. Not to get flighty, but I had a spiritual experience that changed everything for me. Seriously.
