  You know how far of a walk that would have been from the seats to the grass? They came to watch the game not do the Badwater run.

    True, but those 12 bruin fans really made a scene storming the field after beating ped state. Impressive. Reminds me of when Kohls opens for Black Friday and those dozen or so people rush to grab the $50 Keurig and the 2/$10 boxers.

    You can’t get on the Rose Bowl field, the cops will beat the living crap out of you. People have tried and failed miserably, it is not even an option. There must be some secret bunker or something under it, the way they guard it. Unless it’s oasis or u2 or something.

    Cops will ‘beat the living crap out of you’ if you try to go onto a football field but stand by and do nothing while the terrorists and rioters create destruction and mayhem on your cities.

  Gonna be honest, I was one of those that stormed the Coliseum field after we broke the 8 game losing streak to bruins!

    I was there for that game too Observer. I didn’t rush the field tho, as Daystalker said it’s a long walk.Chad Morton was carried off the field. That streak was the peak of my enmity towards UCLA.
    
    I have only “stormed” the field once, when we lost to Cal in double overtime in Berkeley. 2003. My kids were little and after the big rush we went on the field and ran around. They still remember that. They’re going with me to South Bend this weekend maybe we’ll win and rush the field.

    Not sure I ever rushed the field but sitting on the press box side we used to cut across the field in the end zone. Take a couple pics. Back then traveler would hang around after the game and my daughter liked petting him.
    
    Now traveler is long gone after the 4th quarter torch thing and barely comes out for tds. Only like in the first 20-25 min of the game. Don’t recall seeing him in the second half. Never in the 4th anymore.
    
    And petting him? Saying hi? That’ll be $500 please. USC and their rent a horse now. Monetize everything.
    
    Some stuff was better back then
