ParticipantI never get used to it. My problem is I always believe USC can win any game against any opponent in any venue.
USC has three of the best players in college football, Lemon is amazing, Maiva is really good and Waymo is eye popping good. Maiava has no fear throwing it down the middle, he is not looking for safe passes on the sidelines. He threw some dimes into tight windows right down the middle of the field. One of them was a hospital ball to McCree, almost got him killed. The team came back from a deficit and the offense was unstoppable .
But what the fawk is up with the defense? Riley made a great call on the going for two decision after the touchdown. Absolutely brilliant call. Just like the trick play where #50 Reed fucked us by meandering down the field with his thumb up his ass. Perfect execution, except for one clueless dimwit. Same guy screwed us in the red zone to prevent another touchdown. Man did we miss with a few Portal guys this year. The defense with all those high paid coaches can’t get us one freaking stop? This defense has been great in goal line situations and the red zone but terrible between the 20’s. No pressure on the QB again and terrible pursuit angles. Not much talent at the corners either. Ramsey being out certainly didn’t help. We can’t fix the talent void at this juncture. DJ Harvey sucks. A true freshman Reddick was in the game. Who? We have three coaches with secondary experience Lynn, Reed and Belk and it’s still the weakest position group. Fawk.
Last week I compared the Illinois team to a Thai Ladyboy. They look like the real deal but just don’t have the tools to get the job done. Turns out it’s my Trojans who resemble the Thai Ladyboy. We got exposed on defense.
This is a game that we really needed to have a great season, and it was winnable. But real Trojans never quit, they fight on, and it’s on to Michigan. I will be at the Notre Dame game, row 14, so that pretty much guarantees we win that game. -

Participant“Not much talent at the corners either.”
Understatement. Not surerif Prophet is any good, but can he be worse? And Chasen not coming back I’m sure doesn’t help. I did not expect the D to be so poor in the secondary. And after the start of the year, I did not see the Illinois O line controlling the los.
An average or mediocre D would make this a playoff team. A poor D like ours makes it yet another frustrating CLR year. Shame on me for being fooled. Should have listened to the Kinks.
To add, the rest of this season is a foregone conclusion, easier to predict than what is going to happen to D4vd. Only pandora sales (i.e. views in SC’s case or attendance) won’t follow suit.

ParticipantI have not watched any of the SC games this year, how is that tall, whispy fellow doing at LB? I know last season he was out and it was expected he was to make a big impact this year, has that happened?

Participant18 is our best LB. The only one playing at an acceptable level.

ParticipantWas bummed he transferred from ASU to you guys instead of UCLA, although I hear there was really no plan other than USC the whole time for him. He made a good choice though, otherwise he’d be staring down the shaft of an 0-12 season.

ParticipantFor me, it’s the day of. I’m fucking pissed. My kids and wife know not to bother me for the rest of the day. She knows to bring me a few beers to help calm my ass down. By the next day I’m better.
