Just saw one of USC main podcaster show, along with his guess, beat writer for Sports Illustrated who has access to practices. They covered several topics.
1. Young guys, most impactful, impressive players all summer camp. These guys will see the field and in the rotation.
Defense: DL Tomu Topui, LB Talanoa Ili, DB Alex Graham, DE Luke Waffle, DE Jayden Ramos, DB Madden Riordan. SI writer said the D looks very good, very physical, playing fast. Watch out for our D dis season.
Offense: TE Mark Bowden, Wr Trent Mosley, Wr Kayden Dixion Wyatt, Wr Boobie Feaster, OL Hayden Treter, RB room. The RB’s looks strong, fast and good depth. C.LR will run da ball hard dis season. The OL looks sharp, strong and will make C.LR run game potent. C.LR ran the ball 1st and hard in 2025 but he lost his RB1 and RB2 early into the season. Thank God for King Miller and others who took over.
SI guy said our Wr room is young but very talented. It’s deep, C.LR will play 6 main guys and 2 more = total of 8 Wr. 1st string: T. Anderson, T. Hines, Trent Mosley. 2nd group: Zac Williams, Kayden Dixon Wyatt, Boobie Feaster. 2 others: Corey Simms, Romero Ison, or Tron Baker

ParticipantI’m trying to temper my expectations but it’s not easy. This is the most talent I have seen at USC in a long time. Maybe since Clay’s third ranked (final AP poll) 2016 team.
The trenches look stacked and the skill positions are USC caliber. When the Trojans are good we bring the premier athletes. Can’t wait to rip thru the cupcake tray (first 4 games) and get on with some B1G boy football.
Good post Bruddah!

ParticipantOh one mo thing. SI writer said, QB Maiava and QB2 Jonas Williams pulled the mesh sometimes all summer camp. Yeah, it’s all good when our QB’s run sometimes. He said Jonas looked very good running the ball. He believes C. LR will run the rock hard. Shaka! The run game will open up the passing game. Noticed dat on run plays, TE Bowers is a fierce blocker (pancaked LB and DB’s) + the Wr’s blocked well. Yeah, C. LR O will roll dis 2026. Let’s hope injuries are minimal.
Also, SI writer said the D will be much improved and very physical. One bright spot, the LB’s looked very good all summer; 1st string Stephens, Walker, 2nd group D. Bryant, T. Robinson, J. Walker and Talanoa were animals. They said good things about Bryant and will be the 1st substitute. All our LB’s will see the field. All Xlent news.
After hearing the podcast show; I’m excited for our FB team… Cheers

ParticipantRunning the ball successfully – getting that third and short or 3rd and goal – and remaining balanced is going to go a long way. My question is the O line. Was last year’s pleasant surprise the outlier, or will the success up front continue? We will nevr be a time of possession type of team, we ranked mid 60’s last two years. But being able to sustain an end of game drive to secure a win would be nice.
