  Friday’s July jobs report showed the US labor market shed jobs from the previous month. The economy continues to slow down. Inflation is up but jobs and economic growth is down. What a conundrum for the Fed. Raise rates to slow down inflation but risk further job losses?
  I think rates stay the same.
  
  Yet the stock market is holding up nicely. Wall Street over Main Street. The rich get richer the poor get poorer. Moral of the story is don’t be poor.
  
  The US Labor Department reported a decline of 23,000 jobs, versus the 80,000 job gains forecast by economists. The unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, versus estimates of 4.2%. That marked a slowdown from June’s 57,000 new roles, which badly missed expectations.

    What’s your MAGA solution? Keep doing Israel’s bidding and send troops to Iran? More tariffs? Or is your head buried in the sand like so many others even as the current administration says the economy is booming and grocery prices are dropping? Guess you drive a Tesla too, or maybe a VW Bus? Maybe defying the constitution and giving the plan 6 more years instead of two more? Going to take both sides of the aisle to maybe – gasp – come together a little and come up with some fresh ideas. Besides supporting the war economy and spending more money on missiles that cost 1000’s more times than what they are going against. Shooting million dollar THAAD’s and Patriots to intercept those $50k drones. Seems like a winning plan to me.
    There’s a lot of space between social democracy and a war monger economy. A LOT of space. Like 6′ of space for Lindsey. Where the hell are the true moderates?

    This board takes any disagreement of Trump or his policies, his grifting, surrounding himself with knob gobblers who get buried up his crack whenever he stops walking, as being a communist. Or a liberal. Or anti American. There is so much political room between being a flaming liberal and a diehard trump worshipper. Being called a liberal for disagreeing with Trump gets old. It’s like me calling MAGAts “fascists.” It’s inaccurate and childish.
    
    What could go wrong by sending Kushner on international negotiations? By having Judge ~~Judy~~ Pirro as US Attorney. Or a FOX news head lush and former Minnesota National Guardsman as head of the dept of war. Or Roadkill Kennedy leading the health of the nation. Kristi the ice barbie in charge of homeland security. Biden had some doozies too – the funniest being the dude in a dress – but the staggering amount of incompetent people in major positions of authority who wouldn’t dare say no to their God is sad.

    I’m a real estate investor GT, I’m against rent control of any type. I have a decent portfolio of real estate properties. I’m against a wealth tax , not because I’m wealth, but because I don’t trust the government to decide who is wealthy. I’m pro prop 13 and a virulent enemy of prop 19.
    
    I’m a fiscal conservative, this administration are just as big spending whores as the democrats. I’m the real Republican on this board fighting against the rinos.
    
    Where I differ from many of you is on social issues. I don’t give two squirts of piss if a tranny is on the high school soccer team, I don’t care if two dudes want to bugger each other and I believe in people doing what makes them happy. I’m not against immigrants.
    
    I would never personally engage in abortion but if someone doesn’t want a kid they should be able to abort. Btw, I have adopted two boys who are the joy in my life. You guys against abortion, how many kids have you adopted? Probably none.
    
    But my post was about something else entirely.

  1) maybe interest rates can be cut?? FINALLY!!
  
  2) the job numbers are not looking great because of all the lost jobs in public sector. Private sector is much stronger which is a much healthier prognosis.

    Federal workforce is down 300,000 people since Trump and Doge took office…this is abs bringing down monthly job numbers in totality but it’s actually a good thing long term
