Totally true, Saw. It was a bidding war at the end, as these things sometimes end up being.
As you know, Lanning’s trademark is paying better for current/past collegiate production rather than for potential. And it’s worked out well so far. Also as you probably know, we quacks haven’t lost a single starter to the transfer portal.
Of the two, I’d say we needed the athleticism of Lott more than the height of CHJ. But I’ll tell ya, I was salivating at the prospect of Oregon finally being able to consistently successfully throw the end zone fade….lol
BTW great to see you on the boards! I know you stumble in here every once in a while, as I do too. It’s not quite the WW of yore, but I think it’s gaining ground much like Jordon Davison…. 🙂
