btw as much and as bad as that last defensive play was, Lincoln lost This game because of a lack of scoring Offense.
had 3 drives to close game and he couldn’t do it. Stopped throwing to TE after 1st quarter even after some success. Ran same two run plays from same formations. Cant scheme a screen if his life depended on it. Dude was put on 3rd base at Okie and has been thrown out standing on base.

Just like Michigan PSU and Minnesota last year.

CLR has NO football STRENGTHs as a HC. Hes not a great run guy. Hes not a great pass guy. He’s not a great evaluator. Hes not a great recruiter. Hes not a culture guy. He’s not a rah rah guy. Helton could at least evaluate talent (and I have no issue with giving Max Brown his chance after 4 years over Darnold to start 2016 season).

I wish I was wrong on CLR. Truly. Unfortunately Im not.

You might have broken a record for most post edits. 6. The book is not closed on Riley until he is fired or resigns. The story is still being written.

as a reminder you stood by your man, Mr Pants for 7 years and multiple 4+ loss years. Why the difference Ā with Riley?

That viewpoint actually makes no sense. Apply that same logic to stock purchases and real estate investments.

his job is to coach a football team and put a good product onto the field. we have four full years to assess as well as three or four more at Oklahoma. That’s what I’m doing

With investments you need to be strategic, patient and deliberate and NEVER let your emotions override your brain. I started three companies, they all lost Ā money in the first 6-9 months before turning profitable. And when they turned profitable they did so in a big way.

With real estate, you don’t wait to buy real estate, you buy real estate and then wait.

        Patience.

I get that. Fair and some truth there.

but nothing in life, including real estate is as simple as buy and hold while ignoring all the signs coming at you. You sound like the investors buying packaged adjustable rate mortgages in the big short.

Lincoln isn’t the worst choice for a head coach out there. I mean, UCLA chose Carl Darrell, and DeShawn Foster for fuck sake. I understand that. That doesn’t mean he’s gonna take us to the promised land either. That’s the problem that I see.

In the big short the investors weren’t buying real estate they were buying subprime quality debt. Huge difference. Anyone that bought a house in 2006-08 was underwater by Ā 2010-13 but if they continued to wait they have tons of equity today. In other words, hold on be patient and you will be ok.

Riley’s leash is getting shorter, we need to win these close games. 32-34 to Illinois, this game, all one possession losses. Sucks. Those are the Ā types of games USC always wins when things are right. Things need to get right. Soon.

I understand. The reason the adjustable rate mortgages sold were because it was tied to mortgages and thus ā€œreal estateā€. You can split hairs all you want. It would be like saying CLR didn’t miss those 4 tackles last night or he wasn’t the DC during the game. Should we really blame the HC? That just gets silly and ineffective and diluted. Bottom line he had first and 10 at 2 and got negative yardage as a play caller/deaigner. Thats an F. Today. Yesterday. And tomorrow.

I can move goal posts on real estate timelines as easy as you can. And no 20 year windows are a bit unfair. How about someone who bought in vegas in 2006? Did they make money before 2024? I think answer is no. And do you want to use a 20 year window for CLR?

Didn’t help that Maiava ended 2 scoring drives with interceptions in the end zone.

Though I hate to lose and we should not have lost that game, 10 starters out against a good TCU team and we took those bitches into overtime. However, missing that many tackles is horseshit.

Riley’s first few years in the program we were not competitive with NIL money..Look at the players that were at SC or wanted to go to SC and were paid more by Oregon. Talent wins no matter how good the coaching is typically.

We are finally catching-up. But, remember what Parcels said. Cant expect him to cook when he doesn’t have the right ingredients. Have to pay to play now no matter who the coach is… And I never thought Lynn was great. Weird type of quiet and stuttered when he talked. Latu made him look great at UCLA…
