First of all, the veil of secrecy is thick. Other than former Texas DC Pete K who has definitely interviewed we have not heard of any other candidates, just speculation. Remember there were no leaks  last time either. Given PK’s connection to our AD he is the name most often brought up. Last week he was connected to Stanford but no hire has been announced, was it a leverage move by his agent?
Recruits, reportedly,  are being told the defensive staff will remain intact. Nua didn’t get the DC job at Bring ‘em Young. Texas message boards are saying that Sark said he  fired him because he had to “ babysit him” which took up a lot of his time.
If it is PK and the staff will remain intact why the hold up?
If it’s coach Henny, why the hold up?
Is it a coach still in the playoffs , like the Miami DC , I can understand the hold up.

Some “insiders” insist Coach PK will be the guy.

All I know Bruddah Ballss, the next DC has a freaken tuff job, cause next year schedule is brutal.  USC may end up losing 5 games if the D is like dis year under DC. Lynn.  C. Henny is not ready to be DC even though his DL are campaigning for him.  GM Bowden & C. LR had better hire the absolute best DC out there.  I hope it is C. Pete K.

Player personal wise, GM Bowden must fill in da holes from the TP.  He has landed 3 D players so far, eh not dat excited so far.   Roster management is one mofo job…  Cheers
