they alternated 1 and 2 high safeties.  Mixed it up.   I’m guessing they felt that taking away the big pass plays would keep the run in front of them.  Which they could control better.

whats funny is people are jumping up and down screaming about 300 yards rushing.  Like the defense lost that game.

the defense held nd to 27.  At home.  Nd passed for 130 yards.   It wasn’t fun watching them run a ton no doubt.  Frustrating.  But the d held them to 27 despite having the offense hand nd the ball 5 times.  Two failed 4th downs and 3 TO.

in Addition usc allowed a coast to coast td on a kickoff.

im plenty bugged about the loss but the defense is probably only 3rd on my list
